jchue73: thanks for info! well, i got the impression tat Aussie customs are kinda strict... especially in arrival, no idea for departure though... juz hope i can carry the fragile 2 diecasts into the plane le... btw, very very impressive hauls u got there... CCX is awesome in black, i hope to have a chance to get one too... an orange one would be my favourite! biggrin.gif n nice capture for our malaysian sponsors on the R34 JGTC... i wonder is there any difference compared to the previous release besides an additional figure in the car? i expect it NOT to be sealed body since it looks so exclusive! sad.gif

with the CRX, i do hope aa produces more Honda cars... especially the Civic!!! i wonder why they dont produce the Civic since its a very well-known car around the world... i asked them last time and they say its not gonna be popular in diecast form... i was like WTF! i really want a FD2 Civic Type R in a superb quality diecast form!!! sad.gif

lkwanz: haha so far still no interest on tat huge sedan though... biggrin.gif a C63 AMG will do, but i dislike the multi-spoke wheels tat aa produce, a set of 5 spokes wheels is preferable... talking bout the grey SL65 AMG, Minichamps does produce it but in 1/43 scale... i was looking for 1/18 scale and the dealer told me tat its only available in black... and the orange one is pure limited edition and cost a bomb!

thienzieyung: cant find any Hilux in 1/18 scale though... if ur interested in 4WD, aa has a range of FJ Cruisers...

jay8393: nice ride... if not wrong, this model costs a lot... since its made in the USA...

lkwanz: wow... thanks for the pic... guess the grey one would be a normal release from Minichamps... but no doubt, grey really looks great...

lkwanz: well, u got me wrong.. i was referring to the C63 AMG... coz the current C63 AMG from aa has multi-spoke wheels, which looks like this
user posted image

i prefer it to have 5 spokes, which looks exactly like this... i think the C63 AMG looks much sportier in these wheels though...

jay8393: aiksss... i havent unscrewed my GT500 Eleanor yet... i tot according to the box it mentioned tat its made in the USA... doh.gif

QUOTE(lkwanz @ Jan 13 2010, 10:49 PM)

tomato sauce pls drool.gif

jchue73: i can see ur collection is gigantic!!! im interested to know how u display ur models?

khsj: crispy sharp photos u got there... nice nice!

anyway guys, juz return to malaysia liao... i would like to share my experience of transporting 6 DIECAST CAR MODELS from Melbourne to Kuching. I had a transit in Singapore though.

I divided the 6 cars into 2 packages. 3 in a handcarry plastic bag, another 3 in a check in luggage. With check in luggage, i wrapped the boxes with bubble wraps, then cover them with clothes. As for my handcarry, i wrapped them with bubble wraps as well, and put them into a huge plastic bag...

customs did ask what was in the bag and i told them they're diecasts, managed to avoid any taxes which have been discussed earlier. for hand carry luggage, it should not exceed 7kg (sing airlines policy), my 3 diecasts for the hand carry weigh around 5.75kg.

some info if u guys are to purchase diecasts overseas... pack smart and there shouldnt be any problem! nod.gif

also... back to kuching means photoshoot begins! teaser first... something zooms by fast... brows.gif

royjepun: yea... enjoy ur trip and hope u have a great diecast haul in the trip later... biggrin.gif

tkt: LOL guess the stripe has shown its identity... tongue.gif

myke: thanks! how r u currently? saw some stunning models from your previous posts! rclxms.gif

jchue73: yea diecasting is back to difficult again... sad.gif but at least theres a shop in malaysia which is passion bout diecast, which deserves respect from diecasters! nod.gif n yup, its recommended to bubble wrap the boxes even for hand carry... the boxes in my check in luggage were dented too although with bubble wrapped... shows how rough the guys in the airport are handling the luggage... doh.gif

Howard Tan: woah... from minichamps eh... nice ride!

khsj: i like the west liveried one... remind me of the McLaren Mercedes F1 car...

aurion: sweet CLS there... i wonder if there will be AMG version around...

wow guys, McLaren F1 is the car of the month eh??? but i dont have one... sweat.gif guess i have to post a different model from a different continent... happy.gif cant get Takumi's car though, but this one should be fine too...

aurion: nice AMG wheels from the SLK... now tats how a CLS should look like... rclxms.gif

subaru22b: thanks! yea heard one takumi's car now costs more than RM500, i can buy a Veyron or CCX with the price oredi... unless im a diehard fan of the tofu car otherwise the normal tuned version is fine with me too...

myke: great outdoor shot there... and the carbon bonnet is nicely done! haha red is not my cup of tea, but if they release the Levin, then my wallet will start to keep bleeding again... laugh.gif
