"If I had to play for free I would," assured Messi, who admits that he's really happy with the ball at his feet. "Money allows you to live better, but it's not what inspires me. I live to play football, not for it's economic benefits and play for my team not for myself."
The Argentinian acknowledged that "the individual awards are nice", but stressed that "collective success is more important."

We don't need him. We need someone like David Silva, Ribery or Angel di Maria.

actually we dont need any of them, but for the sake of buying n the fans, i still prefer juan mata.. laugh.gif

come on guys...its time for El-Classico already notworthy.gif , where is the spirit for one of the most phenomenon game in the world rclxm9.gif ...this match i say is very important for us, i dont mind if we end up draw, madrid on the other hand cannot expect nothing than a win for them to at least justify their season n not to mention so that they will stay top...one thing for sure, it will b explosive for both sides..interesting to know who going to be the refs for this?..

messi vs ronaldo.....xavi vs xabi....vv vs iker.... these r the least we all gonna expect to see.. rclxms.gif

midfield battle gonna b crucial as well, definitely madrid fans don't wan to see barca hold 70% possession.. tongue.gif

to be honest, this wasnt the most classic performance by us nor madrid, the first clashed at nou camp more better i think...but regardless what, im a bit surprise to watch the way madrid playing, they seems unprepared..

enough talking about them, people could easily vote messi for man of the match but for me xavi was true the performer, our midfield could easily disorganize if it wasnt for him, its like he the 1 who made the difference in the midfield area out shine xabi n vdv...again how many through ball that he managed to supplied perfectly? 5 if i not mistaken, 2 of which we end up scored...

im a bit surprise to see dani played a bit advance, i think this is the 1st time he started there isnt it? hmm.gif

again, vv is on top of iker.. tongue.gif ,

Do you know Asenjo has now lost his place to a 19 y.o GK? Surely you can't compare VV with Asenjo, can you?
*
i think we all come to conclusion that vv deserve his shot with the national team, if we managed to retain the title, i hav a feeling that we hav a chance to see vv in the world cup, not as a supporters but as a player.. smile.gif

QUOTE(verx @ Apr 12 2010, 11:24 PM)
Didn't spend too much? You think players like Rivaldo, Kluivert, Saviola, Overmars, Riquelme, etc were all cheap? You're having a laugh.
And we won 2 Ligas and 1 UCL with the first Galacticos but Beckham alone probably made back all the money we spent. That's what you guys don't seem to get.
There is no right or wrong ideology. It's only wrong when you spend beyond your means. It's like trying to tell Bill Gates that he shouldn't buy an expensive mansion or car because it's wrong for him to do so.

Maybe you should accept that your beloved club has almost always been playing second fiddle and that now you've been given the chance to shine. I mean even when we won the last 2 back to back titles I couldn't remember myself talking as much about Barca as you guys are consistently talking about us and our spending. You guys should enjoy this while it lasts and spend less time talking about us. wink.gif
*
well, im not gonna worried much considering how well la masia products had proven themselves in fact you and the rest of madrid fans the 1 who suppose to be worry considering how well barca hav been doing so far with all these young players in the starting 11.., 1 thing for sure with all those jewels keeps coming through the ranks, the domination wont be for a short while, buckle up and enjoy the show.. smile.gif

Age is one of the most important factors because it means you have time on your side. But I agree we need to settle on a style of play. One of the reasons we brought Pellegrini in actually. Problem with facing quality opponents is that most of the squad can't play with their eyes closed yet. That will take time. So it's not as if we have to stick to a style permanently like Barca have cause if you go back the last few decades we still have won more trophies. And to be honest if Pep didn't come in you guys would still be nowhere

i may lost here, what style of play again?,,sorry because i dont watch madrid play alot, non of their games suggest me that they play with style..mayb when figo moved or zidane moved to madrid there probably style which in this case their style of playing...i can feel u thou especially when José Antonio Camacho not to mention Bernd Schuster failed, it easy to see that its lucky that pep is the reason why barca r today.. smile.gif

Just shows the difference in quality of posting between you and matyrze.
You can flex and taunt all you want but history has shown we'll get back our turn

actually faris do has a point there, it just that u being ignorance, i dont see the point of we discuss here to actually make u feel happy, u just in the wrong side of the road..yes we beaten madrid twice this season by which most been fielded by home grown talents which something that madrid failed to proved or mayb its not their style of doing thing rolleyes.gif ..until madrid can beat barca convincingly maybe then u can prove your point of argue here, because what i see from every forum that i go, they all discuss the same thing, ohh, maybe because it was barca forum that i went, haven't check madrid forum yet...

For someone who just jumped into the Barca bandwagon I reckon outside of the current La Masia graduates and Pep Guardiola you probably couldn't even name me 5 other graduates without the use of Google rolleyes.gif
i guess my answer doesn't really matter here, u wont know whether im google or not ya,.. n please, dont tell me u never google for madrid info as well.. rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(faris21 @ Apr 21 2010, 04:34 PM)
yeah we just need to fill 2-3 player from Atletic and only bring Xavi and Messi if still goaless after 60 minute, need rest most of them after 2000km roadtrip
*
i dint watched the match but based from the comments above its due to the tiredness of the players, hope fully inter gonna travel to camp nou the same way as we did, by then we have the chance, this game is long from over i tell u..if inter looking to park the bus infront of the goal mouth, they r about to making a huge mistakes..

anyway, the absence of iniesta in big matches like this really made xavi headache isnt it, there arent much player in the field that he can link up perfectly..i dunno about u guys, although messi has been on fire so far, mayb pep can sacrifice him let him play deeper behind to give xavi more extra assists..let bojan play upfront, that lad improved alot, n based on our remaining fixtures, we needs to make used all of our available assets, a big test for the champion.. smile.gif

I saw two of inter goals was bcoz of Sneijder wasnt properly marked..

Alves performance also under par that day... And did he dive or was tripped inside pnalty box? i tink he dived... not really sure... but after the game some player questioned ref decision on that..

he has a chance to become from zero to hero in coming weeks.. smile.gif

good win indeed,, bojan goal was classic, he's improving well, ibra should be worry now rolleyes.gif ,,

win aside for awhile, we been link with a lots of players for next season, well most of which were all rumors but the name juan mata really caught my eyes, hopefully something can be done, such a wonderful player to have especially when we consider iniesta fitness level..talking about player, how old is villa again? 29?..quite old for me consider for his price, im prefer torres thou, yes, he's a bit injury prone but i think his game fit perfectly to barca system, strong, athletic, mobile, fast, good in the air, well u name it but best of all he's hardworking n more younger than villa, i see him as exact replica of eto except he's spanish smile.gif ..

QUOTE(matyrze @ May 2 2010, 01:08 PM)
Is it just me, or Torres really have struggled with Spain, mostly in linking up with Xavi and Iniesta? Apart from the match against New Zealand, he wasn't impressive enough. Torres goal against Germany in 2008? Well, I can't remember Torres and Xavi did the same again. Not sure though, but what I do remember was how I always moaned whenever I saw Torres' heavy touches and mistimed forward runs.

*
i guess it wast just u,,kindda agreed with the spain stuff, torres do struggling for some reason,,but if he can link perfectly with gerrard in regular basis, kindda harsh not to see him do the same with xavi isnt it if he been given the same chance, oh well, mayb i just a big fan of his.. tongue.gif

well im not a big fan of ibra to honest, he's a bit slow, at times a bit lazy as well but his movements in attack make up for his lack of spark.. i dont mind to give him another chance to impress me for next season but we hav to admit the reason why we been linked with strikers especially villa is due to ibra under par performance ..i think ibra gonna surprise us next season, that's what world class striker do.. smile.gif

about bojan, he's started to get into my favorite list, the way he play totally different from ibra, a bit direct but sometimes that what u need to do..
