Dear All

Recently , as we all know - Maxis has revised their iValue plans , which I find is pretty good (not to mention free MMS and SMSes that they give). So I gave them a call recently to ask if old iPhone 3G users are entitled for this new plan - the answer is simply No. We are not entitled for the new plan freebies as its only valid for new customers

What I am doing is here to well create awareness and fight for our rights. After all , we are the first batch who bought iPhone 3G with Maxis. Therefore , I would like to encourage those who are with iPhone 3G with iValue plans (pre-iPhone 3GS) to send an e-mail to custcare@maxis.com.my and not to mention to MCMC and "Tribunal pengguna" as well

If you're with me in this , then post it up here - together we will send an e-mail and call Maxis to inform them about this. Let's fight for our rights !. For your information , this is not the first time its me vs Maxis. I've had enough with their Maxis Broadband and managed to avoid paying RM 200 "early termination fee".

Cheers

prasys, if you are an old iPhone 3G user you should already be on the iValue plans right? Maxis is automatically upgrading all the existing iValue plan subscribers to the new plans i.e. you enjoy the new features (more free SMS & MMS, etc) automatically.

This is what their Head of Product Development told me at the press conference yesterday. And my father-in-law who is on the iValue 1 plan got a SMS saying that he can now enjoy the features of the new iValue 1 plan.

So either the Maxis customer service rep you spoke to doesn't know what he/she's talking about or I missed you point..?

I rang maxis customer service yesterday and have spoken to a guy 'Fazli'. He confirmed that the new features will be included in the ivalue plans for existing iphone 3G customer. HOWEVER the new freebies will only kick it on the next billing month- i.e. we are still not on the new plan until our current bill for the current month is issued.

I called up maxis again , they said that I wouldn't be enjoying the new freebie stuff (i.e free MMS and free SMSes)

Let's just wait and see

Yes. You will enjoy the freebie of SMS/MMS per month as long as you are an iValue Plan user.
It does not matter for new or old iValue Plan subscriber.

Both my gf and I are existing iPhone 3G user with iValue Plan RM100. Both of us received SMS that states we are entitled for free 100 SMS, free 10 MMS and free local calls to Family.
