I paid less than RM6K for my unit, RM510K. They are assigned by the bank.

Mind to share how much discount you managed to bargain from the bank's lawyer?

normally bank's panel lawyer is big firm, they can only give limited discount, arround 30%.
to pay rm6755 legal fee for loan amount of 380k is extremely high.
i have a loan amount of 490k, the panel lawyer offer me rm5k+ with limited discount, finally i managed to find my own lawyer(small firm) and he can offer me 50% discount, end up only paid rm3k+.
i have another loan amount of rm650k, with 30% discount, arround rm8K

sigh. i already suspected its too expensive but since i got not much contacts so let it be lor. i even started a thread on getting good legal assistance but not much fruit from the thread. there were a few responses but nobody much contributed and nobody were referring any 'better' lawyers around.
you have got yourselves some really good deal based on what you have mentioned.
next time, do share good recommendations of lawyers you have come across.

Just being informed by my bank that I'm not allowed to use other lawyer as it is their policy to use the panel. Dem!!!!

I pay lawyer < 5.5K for loan of 420K.

The bank name start with "H". But I think this is very much depending on the Bank mortgage agent to assign. You may want to check.

Added on May 6, 2010, 3:03 pmZuiko-san, for Covillea, they only allowed panel bank, thus only panel lawyer is allowed. No other 'small' legal firm is allowed. Also sometime, we need to make sure the lawyer is capable. Especially in handling title transfer later once the unit is ready. This is my 'bad' experience with unpopular lawyers firm.

so more tenants going to rent here or it will push up or value the price?

The south bus hub locate in Bkt Jalil now is just temporary, will be move to Tasik Selatan once it is ready. Prefer it to move to ease the traffic, once it located in Tasik Selatan then it just few LRT station away.
