Hi Chris, just returned from viewing 2 units. Corner unit and the smaller unit (1200+). No balcony nor the garden. Not very satisfied but not dissatisfied too. Facilities are alright but no tennis court as mentioned in the websites.

Yeah i agree with u that reno can be less than 100k. And i think any unit will be done up nicely if the interior is done up nicely.

Right now I'm thinking of the corner unit (area 1415) or savanna unit (with garden but have not seen it yet). And do hope that covillea unit can be sold easily if we re-locate elsewhere later.

Im Singaporean. Are U staying in covillea?

Sure have la, two telephone point plus one intercomm set ...

Actually nothing to be worry. The building cannot get CCC if it is not ready for telecommunication system. You havent seem your unit yet?
*
QUOTE(Chris Chew @ Feb 28 2013, 10:56 AM)
Agree.

Maybe they confuse of phone line and phone point. Phone points are ready but need owner to subscribe to TM to get phone line.
*
It appears everyone made a misinterpretion of my statement. There are phone sockets. No telephone line. Confirmed twice. Once at the nearest TM point and again via Maxis. I also approached the IMU hostel managment (cause apparently students live there) and they told me that

a) TM has NOT connected telephone line to Cov. They have sockets but no line. TM refuses to instal unless >50% residency. So have some fun with that. I also asked Managment and got same reply. Telephone socket got, but from main line to the network of the apartments, nothing there. Good job there.

b) TIME is said to be setting up. They have exclusive access for the nearby Vista Komanwel A,B,C so it comes as no surprise. There are rumours that UniFi may come but I have already spoken to an agent from TIME and he says that Block A, if you register would get it in a week and Block B, 2-3 weeks, but no gurantee. TM has no idea where the balls Cov is and it doesn't help that no one knows the name of the street it is on and thus a lot of confusion.

I will update you guys if anything else changes. Till now, Cov is still a ghost town for Block B but some people have started moving in.

And get Astro. The aerial cannot support so many TVs apparently. Can only watch 8TV now and it's still horrible reception

Wireless internet like P1 is spazzy. May or may not get. Maxis as well. IMU purchased Celcom broadband for all it's hostel students to use.

Hi Tsubasa, the smaller unit is 1293 sq feet. Hmm, some owners like unit without balcony, to extend the internal space of 1293 sq feet to bigger and spacious space for furniture allocation. For me, I definitely prefer a unit with balcony and lanai, because I am a regular smoker and enjoy relaxing at balcony, which the sliding door is the best way for air flow.

Good Luck choosing in Covillea or Savanna, Bukit Jalil is a nice area to live in.

No, I am not staying in Covillea, hehehehe.

watch out, every condo/ apartment's condo lowest floor always got problem one, the know problem of covillea garden units are FLOOD @ your garden when heavy rain - they are rectifying this by adding new discharge sump for every garden unit.

shit smell @ toilet shakehead.gif shakehead.gif shakehead.gif which they still can't solve.........

Good question, the only way i can think off is take out the steel cap, then the white plaster cap and put the hose direct to the hole but doesnt look nice and some smell might come out from the hole. Maybe also can drill small hole on wall to third bathroom near bottom and put the hose through it? Perhap others might got good idea to share ...
