If you are a beginner, you should check out the 'starter packs', comes with the bass, a practice amp, a cable, & some even come with a tuner. All that for around RM 1k.

look around for secondhand basses, usually about 450-600 will be fine, just as long as it feels nice to you...
and get a cheap headphone amp, rm 150 or so, canlah.
if wanna buy a bass amp, a decent one will set you back at least 300 bucks.

if i'm not mistaken, ibanez basses are around 600-700.

ok depends on what u like, whether u prefer the thin neck or wider neck. why dont you come and see me, i have both gio and stagg, can let you try, show u the pros and cons etc....
i'm in ss2, pj.

gio is a low cost ibanez model..tell me if im wrong...sx is also good..
once you had mastered the skill...no matter what kind or bass u can play..

yep gio is a budget series from ibanez. but even so, i think the basses are not within the RM 300-500 range.

peavey made great basses. i prefer that than gio or staff. even tho its korean

a 2nd hand thunderbird studio at Soft for 1.2k sgd ;p

bought stagg bass for 380 only.
plus sx amp. very excited

where u bought them?

better u catch up with a better gear once u had the skill
