I am thinking of donating some money but skysherly brought up some very good points. I hope Bernard can help with answering the questions.
hi muok,
r u a penangite ? if u r, i think it's better for u to come to my office & talk to my unit head to ask for more information if u wish to offer a donation

if u r not a penangite, u can call my unit head instead for more info. his name is Terence Low. you can call him at 012 - 426 8001.
ur contribution is very much appreciated if u r willing to make an offer.
regards,
bernard

Dear Bernard,
It's kind to see so many people are involving in the charity work, I will definitely give my full support in that. But I do have a few doubts and questions need your clarification.
First of all, why is this Eden Handicap service centre registered under Berhad but not organization? Because if it is a pure NGO, should be registered under JKM department but not Berhad which is under Business. Anyhow, it is just to help to make it clear for people to know about the differences. I do not have any misunderstanding with you but for what I've been through, most donors will wish to know more about the NGO they are helping out.
May you list down what sort of PC that you are requesting? It will be easier because some of the donors are only having part of it, so may be you can collect different parts of the PC from different donors, and assemble it by yourself? It will definitely be more effective and easier as some people do upgrade their PC parts by parts, so they can just donate out the old parts only but not the whole set of PC.
Last but not least, may I know more in details about what the Eden is doing for the residents there? Checking it out from website is different from getting the information of the staff in there.
Thank you Bernard, I believe you can help me to clear my doubts soon so we can do more for the people who need our help. I will try to help you outsource the items from Penang as I do know a few NGO from there, may be you can work things out together with the others.

According to my manager, Eden handicap is registered under a ' Bhd ' instead of an organisation becoz we wanna skip all the hassle for being an organisation.
Since we r a ' Bhd ' therefore, we can still carry out businesses to earn ourselves some profit for charity purposes. Eden is a charity company. We r not like those companies where their profits can be earned by their directors and staffs

In Eden, whatever profit that we earn will be be reverted back to the company for staffs salary, investment for charity and etc
Eden is also not a company that is limited by ' shares ' but we r limited by ' guarantee ' instead.
