If you don't have plan to use it, don't take it. When you take it, you're bond to 12-24 months contract with Astro. That why it's free.

Even if you sell it, the ownership cannot be change before contract finish. If cancel, need to pay around RM500 for the cost of the decoder and the dish. If the guys you sell too didn't pay, Astro will chase you.

That what happen to my friend but he was lucky because I bought from him and still keep using it until now.

Please check the T&C carefully.
