QUOTE(jasontoh @ Aug 4 2009, 11:23 PM) I think his stimulus package is all talk only la. All the money will go supporting KLCI from going down the drain. We all have see how he always perform magic on Commerz, Sime, Tenaga and even Axiata. well put, that part's true for this part of the world. Commerz has done miracles. it might probably hit 20 if AS1M comes in.

QUOTE(simplesmile @ Aug 4 2009, 11:30 PM) I targeted a finance stock, but the boat has left without me. My portfolio has 1 utility, 1 O&G, and 4 Consumers. My next target is that damn finance stock. It's not dipping at all. I don't buy Plantation and Construction. Reason being their earnings are cyclical. However, I may change my mind later on. construction hmm.. i'm only in because of the piece of stimulus pie from Mr number 1 hehe. i agree with you on plantation, hence the end of year entry point. you talking about commerz? hehe, i'm hoping sharks group together and dump Commerz shares to 9.50. then i'm in.

QUOTE(David_Brent @ Aug 5 2009, 11:28 AM) I am seriously considering dumping my WASEONG. Think it's done its job for now..... Waseong's really volatile now. never imagined it could swing this much this fast! maybe i'll revise down to 2.16 before i release any.

i'm thinking of doing something which , in theory is possible.
a separate portfolio of buying several high beta index linked stocks and selling the futures for arbitrage.
anyone done it before?

QUOTE(chyaw @ Aug 6 2009, 01:08 PM) It is still better and easier to click and buy REITs counters and collect div. Added on August 6, 2009, 1:11 pmThe current KLCI is for Gov to see and feel happy about their KPI. I see more corelation the old KLCI index with my counters' performance. That's why I'm asking whether anyone is thinking to reviving the old index (at least in LYN) i agree with u chyaw. the index i'm using now is .. FBM Mid 70 or FBM Small Cap. still not the most comfortable index but that'll do for now. either that or most active counters. I don't have heavyweights in my portfolio (i don't think YTL is one)
