40??  blink.gif

Goodness.. What do you plan to do between 40 and 80?
*
LOL there ARE a LOT of things to do !
Remember college days ? When you go to class 3hours/day and spend the rest of the day sleeping/sleeping/sleeping/eating/sleep some more/ tongue.gif

Actually, one needs to remember that sometimes retiring only means stopping from office work, having to report to work everyday, 9-5.

One can take up hobbies, make babies (at 40, still can? LOL gerak² 5mins then mengadu sakit pinggang, lol) go on trips, grow trees..
and the list goes on.

As for the money to cover expenses, one can get it from passive income, e.g income derives from having your money work for you.
i.e pensions, dividends, money you got from your kids(bring them to visit families to collect angpows, for example, haha), rental income (if you have property).

Hmm I've always embed this idea of mine, that one day I want to do things at my own pace, whims and fancies, without having to be bullied by my boss,
and not having to apply to get off days and to get scolded for not being in the office, even though I am sick.

To me, retiring early should be on everybody's mind, simply because there's more to life than clocking in & out from the office.

QUOTE(danmooncake @ Aug 7 2009, 01:01 AM)
I'm with you on that.

Already loaded up my second order of gold and silver coins.
Building my bunker now - outfitting with outside solar panels, water collection barrel and filter and
my little garden.

I am preparing for the worst.  Speaking of ammo, I gotta get my Winchester back from my bro.
That SOB took it for hunting trip in Thailand and still hasn't return it yet.  sad.gif

You can always borrow my two-barrel shotgun, I used it to kill pests in my hometown. smile.gif
Still got a lot of ammos, coz the pests always know when I'm coming.
