SC/KLSE should do something on call/put warrant issue.

Always issue CW/PW at 30-40% premium where got share price always move more than that degree of amount in 9 months time. (Average life-time of the structured warrant locally). Some more need to trade in the right direction.

Imagine everytime, retailers bought those warrant, always handicapped for 40% at the start while the distance of running is short only with 9 month to a year time.

It is unusual for any stock move more than 30-40% per annum on average.

That's how bankers protect themselves. That's why I say not a good idea to buy in current market situation (6-12mth should see economy recovery IMO).

edit: personally i think infrastructure projects in East Malaysia should be a hit. I only know 2 companies with exposure there, Hock Seng Lee & Naim. any others?

I agree. I sold NAIM today at 2.41 because it has had a good run in the last week (+14%). It may continue to rise but if there is a pull back tomorrow or Thursday I shall definitely buy it again to go with my HSL which is showing similar gains.

Some of the contractors here WCT, Naim, HSL, Loh& Loh, etc.
Anyway, I heard Fajar got LCCT contract... Not sure how true is that...

Not sure about that, Sky. Currently I'm holding Fajar, WCT, HSL and MRCB.  Just sold Naim (as I mentioned) but looking to buy back in if it drops back.

I am holding Fajar because I think they have a good chance to get the LCCT job or part of it. Also, I think the directors are making significant efforts to increase the visibility and market liquidity of the stock - so it should attract more interest.

Erm....some people think that a large proportion of Mr. Najib's RM67billion stimulus package (over the next two years) is likely to end up in the pockets of the construction companies - particularly those involved in infra-structure works.

Actually from my father, he told me that most bumi company are not paying for hardware, so, it is either the govt not giving them money, or they use it up to buy 52" LCD, merz etc. Those projects are actually govt turnkey projects where you can earn up to 100%-200%

Yup. Very true. Not to say that bumiputra cannot handle banks or whatsever, but this is the current case for Commerz.

Btw, the story of those bumi contractor not paying for material is very true. It can either be the Govt not giving out funds or the contractor used up the money
