Weapons are must, don't bother with too many armors nor upgrading them, they'd be useless once you hit G Rank

the online session was fun last night thks to everyone for helping me lvl up and being patient.

i probably shld have online solo quest first because there was seriously so much to comprehend when i first join up the city, will definitely do so from now on so i can lvl up quicker and join u guys for the higher rank matches later.

haven't got a clue about the armour sets you guys are chasing after but i have made it a personal challenge to master this game eventually. just wished there was a dummy guide to learning the ropes for this game, the game manual is pretty thick but somehow i think it still barely covers the entire aspect of the game.  rclxub.gif
*
You should start off with offline first seriously, the only place you can learn nod.gif

If there's any question you can always ask here, sure someone would be able to answer smile.gif

gundam, offline meaning village quest (moga woods) or city quest ?

playing the village story mode of course but got a little discouraged when i learn u couldn't lvl up from there, still the story does a good job of easing the player into the game.
*
Village quests. Don't get discouraged, it's better to become a skilled hunter than becoming a parasite in this game. I remembered I soloed all my way to G Rank online last time just to improved some skills, only sometimes with friends. Once I hit G Rank I wasn't a burden to anyone in the team, the minimum requirement for me tongue.gif

Teamwork very important, should help whenever possible. Too bad I'm still very low on materials otherwise I would bring something to heal teammates whenever needed.

i got one of that, but how on earth do i use it?

btw, how to make traps? I find eat easier to trap the limping half dead monsters and them pumping tranq shots into them than killing them outright... I am a HUMANE PACIFIST laugh.gif
*
Stun trap = traptool + thunderbug
Pitfall trap = traptool + net (spiderweb + ivy)

My simple GS VS Barroth guide tongue.gif

user posted image

Charge: When he charges and you are facing him, run to your right. When it stopped you can land a hit on the tail from Barroth's left (it's tail will hit you if you stand opposite direction)

Mud attack: Slash the tail from itss right, there's no safe spot on its left. Otherwise just hit its legs/claws.

Mud gathering: usually falls to its left, so go to its tail, in between its legs when it get up, do a level 3 charge.

Those are the 3 golden opportunities for GS, the rest are just bonus. It may be slow, but it's safe. And NEVER LAND A HIT ON ITS CROWN! Someone died from this accident last night tongue.gif

Added on May 10, 2010, 12:25 pmEdit: And never do an upswing attack, whether with SA/GS unless you are solo tongue.gif

Gundam's mini guide time again tongue.gif

Gobul:
- will start off at area 4, and you can fish it out there by using frog provided it didn't see you
- main areas 4 > 3 > 1
- sleeping area is 8, under the water with its whisker showing as usual
- fastest way to get to area 8 is through area 1
