So like, does CR stream works like youtube where you can pause to buffer? cuz paying premium to have it stop occasionally due to lag is saddening. i have tried sora no otoshimono forte ep1 and it does not seem to work (the pause to buffer that is)

Our streaming service functions very differently than Youtube. On Crunchyroll, all of our videos are distributed through a CDN service which utilizes servers all over the world so that people like yourself may view the videos from a server near you instead of one half way across the world. This is done to ensure that the connection speed between the viewer's network and our server is as fast as can be. The down side to this is that you would still need an internet connection which is fast enough to stream the videos in the video quality that you selected and you can only pause the video to buffer a minute or so in advance due to a limitation set by our CDN service provider. So, if you are having problems with our highest quality videos, you may want to try a lower video quality.

Most (if not all) CDN services have this limitation to ensure server performance by only loading the portions of the video that people are watching and there is no way for us to change the limit. So I'm sorry but it is simply not possible to pre-load the entire video with our current setup.
