Guess they're using that BB DAC inside the S2000 amp. Not bad.

hmmm, i think wont be pcm1704, coz it can support up to 192khz,
while s2000 decoder's spec is up to 96khz only
my guess is pcm1716

PCM1704 only supports up to 96KHz sample rates. It's stated right in the page. Where did you see 192KHz sample rate supported?

But I guess you are right. The PCM1716 is much cheaper than the 1704.

oops my mistake then, din read the spec sheet
coz i remember seeing an surround sound receiver ad dat uses pcm1704 while claiming able to support 192khz signal doh.gif ...

edit:
wat does oversampling means ? pcm1704's specsheet claims up to 8x oversampling at 96khz (dat means 768khz blink.gif ??)

If you know how to do soldering, it's pretty easy to build one yourself.

Yap, but this one is not really splitter, just that if you happen to wan to use speaker and headphones, sometimes troublesome to take out speaker and jack in headphone. This comes with a switch where u can switch off/cancel speaker and the music goes to your headphones.
Errr ... I was talking about a switch box, not a splitter tongue.gif. Depending on how you wanna do it, the simplest form of switch box would only require a couple of stereo minijack ports and some wires.

Lucky I saved this link. Take a look. It's in Chinese though.
Simple Switch Box

For pure music lovers, stereo definitely beat surround kaw2, rite? tongue.gif

Actually no. Especially if price is not concerned.
I can build a surround system using 3 sets of S2000 if I like (and have the money), and get awesome surround sound quality from DVD-A tongue.gif.

Haha. No lah, just to point out a common misconception. Really found that lots of people think that HT and Hifi stuff are different.
Ok lah, maybe I can use 3 sets of R1200 tongue.gif
