blackshirt : sorry for late reply, currently having holiday and i don have internet access at my place.
the sound came from subwoofer when the bass is strong. It sounds like something vibrate and banging with the wooden casing when the bass is strong...
there is one big screw (or is it called nut???) down there start to become rusty...
worried...its only 4 months old

QUOTE(shinnosuke @ May 17 2006, 09:45 AM) R1900TIII? too heavy bro. I'll try to balance the speaker on that stand later if possible. Just for you .. Maybe we can see how the speaker perform on a drop test too yeap, the height is fixed. i'll post the picture tonite. I just use a short bolt and nut as the hook. where did you get that for RM19 bro? i need another pair of speaker stand to compliment my Ikea rear stand for my S4.1

QUOTE Try 'adding' more furniture into your room (and especially near or on your table). XD When there are more furniture around (like cupboards, chairs, boxes, etc), they can help to provide their own resonances, thus, eliminating the bad resonance from your table. boxed shape furniture shouldn't be added into a room but should be eliminated. They do provide their own resonance especially with low frequency band but that do not make them cancelling each other. instead, by adding more similar things, you amplified the bad effect. when taking acoustic into consideration, boxed type furiniture like drawer, cupboard should be eliminated and acoustic pading should be added into other things that cannot be eliminated

QUOTE(hyyam85 @ Jun 21 2006, 02:37 PM) @bobtiang S2.1D is also a good performer. hav u tested it? but looking at the price, it might b better to top up a lil more to get the S4.1 personally would recommend s4.1 over S2.1d unless you really going to make use the extra digital coaxial and optical input plus the decoder. if worry about the extra 2 satelite speaker taking up space, you can eliminate the extra two satelite anytime to make it a 2.1 set.
