Never thought I was going to be one of those odd balls who disagree with others. I'm not a big fan of bass. I luv speaker that produce good sound quality but this speaker fall way short of my expectation. I would rather save my money and buy a better speaker.
Anyway, the sound card I'm using is Creative Xtreme Music (which I think is pretty decent).

The problems I face when using the speaker r:

1. volume knot not working well, it only works when it wants to
2. on/off switch also have some issues. Could not turn on the speaker at times. Even when its on, no sound is coming out from the speaker.
3. the speaker sounds a little off especially when watching a movie or games. Eg, when there is someone talking, u could hear an echo, it sounds like a human voice follow by something like a computer generated noise.
4. everytime when I switch on my room light, there's a loud cracking sound produce by my speaker. Don't know how to explain but to me it sounds like the driver is breaking (those kinda sound when u turn ur speaker too loud).
5. At times, my rear speaker isn't working. No sound is coming out from the speaker.
6. My front speaker have some issue as well, there r times where all I could hear from my speaker is bass (I didn't fiddle with the configuration, it just turn that way, at times).

I don't abuse my speaker, I never turn my speaker volume more than half and I set the bass less the 1/6 of the settings and I've used this for only 2 months. Compare to my previous speaker, I would rather use back my old AL speaker.

That is the reason y I don't recommend the S4.1. Do u guys face any of this problem as well? Is there a solution to all this?

Btw, there r 3 types of coloured wire provide by the edifier that is a green, beige and blue. May I know the difference between this coloured wire.

A speaker can face all sorts of problems. Maybe some have faced bad torture, drops/misuse, unlucky manufacturing defects or are just a few of the bad apples. So the problem could be just anything, but your lucky that there is a full-warranty cover for Edifier speakers (if you bought it from an authorized dealer of Inter-Asia Technology which is the exclusive authorized distributor of Edifier in Malaysia),

If you have been using it for about 2 months, then it should be under warranty from Inter-Asia Technology (unless you got it through other means).

Bring it to the Edifier Showroom @ Low Yat Plaza to have it sent for warranty. This would be your best solution.

Seems bad to post this now but i have a problem with my M 3300, not as hugh though. I am currently pairing it up wit AV 710.

The problem is my left satelite, which occationally has this buzz sound coming out. It is kinda obvious and only on left speaker. Then i tried to change jack for the left/right satelite to see if problem is on the left satelite but it turned out that it is not because the right satelite too has this buzz sound coming out when connected to the left source output.

Is there any problem with my speaker then? I bought it from PC world Melaka this February but now i am in KL. Is this under warranty if i send to Lowyat Inter-Asia?

As long as you bought the unit from an authorized dealer, then yes, the Edifier Showroom @ Low Yat Plaza will cover warranty issues for it as well.

Before bringing it, have you tried testing the speaker itself with other sound sources like an mp3 player or cd player? Do check to see if the problem still persists.

The Edifier Showroom is located at 4th Floor Low Yat Plaza. Good luck. smile.gif

Anybody can give a review on the new models?
If possible, comparison with the old models.

Currently, you can do some testing at Sri Computer @ Low Yat Plaza as all the new models are there, but with a lousy sound source provided. tongue.gif

The Edifier Showroom has yet to get all models of the new models. Only a few are available for testing at the moment.

Edifier, is there any Edifier car speaker available? I mean in KL.
I've been searching some value but good speaker to fit in my Myvi, unfortunately those sub RM300 car audio speaker is either classed at very-low-end or bad quality. I've been thinking if it's possible to remove a 4" driver from any Edifier speaker and put it in as car audio speaker. I'm not an electrical engineer, and have no idea on the resistance and wattage calculation, so perhaps someone could enlighthen me smile.gif

Currently no Edifier car speakers available in Malaysia yet. But should be coming not so far into the future. biggrin.gif

craking sound..
really irritating..
i already posted up at the inter-asia thread..
they tell me that mayb the problem comes from the irregular power supply or the soundcard..
so far, no problem detected at my soundcard as i tested with my friend's aego m..
after my final, gonna test my a voltage regulator and then try it at my friend's house again for confirmation..

if really got problem then have to carry the wholr 17kg to lowyat again.. sigh..
*
If really got problem, i think you just send the woofer and controller to the showroom is enough. The satellites would hardly have any problem AFAIK unless it was dropped.

i never dropped my satelites..
i still wanna conduct a few test to make sure the faulty is from the speaker.. i dun wanna cause any misunderstanding and trouble for the staff there..
but if the problem really comes from that particular satelites, what am i supposed to do? do i need to bring the whole set there?

thx.. sorry for the inconvenience caused
*
well, what you need to bring is the subwoofer and controller. as for the satellites, only bring them if you think they have a problem. don't worry about troubling the staff there. it's standard procedure for them to test the speakers using the Showroom's soundcard, and if it works fine there, most probably your speakers are fine (unless it is a problem that happens once in a while and you need to tell this to the Showroom guy).

Higher ohms replacements are ok. But never lower ohms.

never?..thats mean cant change or could u explain more detail coz i really2 want to mod this speaker.

if the woofer is 8 ohms, then probably the amplifier is designed for 8 ohms as well.
thus, if that is the case, putting in a much lower resistance speaker will overload the amplifier circuit.
