i need advice from you guys, how can i improve more my setup? just aurilium psc805 soundcard and speaker is R1900TIII. whats next to improve? how about cable? should i change it?

FOC method: U may adjust the EQ in some music player to increase the treble or high freq.. I believe the bass for T3 is enough and no need any further tune..

Money method: Maybe u can buy the Headphone amp from Edifier to boost up the sound.. Some did this b4.. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi, which setup would give me better results?

- S2.1D + Onboard Sound (AC97) [using S/PDIF connection]
- M3300 + Chaintech AV 710

Usage:
70% Music (looking for soundstage)
30% Movies (looking for vocal clarity)

Also considering 2.0 speakers like R1900TIII, R1600TD, R1200T
*
S2.1D for sure thumbup.gif
Bigger woofer cabinet to ensure richer bass

If you think to use the built-in decoder of S2.1D, then AV710 will do..

I need to buy a better soundcard with optical out...
Currently using Live but think will get better sound using either AV710 or Prodigy using optical out...

These speaker need to be seperated 2-3metres away...
And they can play really loud... on par with MX5021...
*
u can use the digital out from SB Live also..via coaxial minijack to RCA cable..digital out in coaxial and optical both has same performance..

guys, i need advice, I have an edifier R1900TIII, and using a PDA (iPaq HX2750) as a source. The full volume is not loud enough. Will buying and using a small headamp will help the volume? what headamp can you guys recommend?
*
Yes..headphone amp will boost the volumn.. Most pda headphone output power i just too low..
