I have an issue on my borther in law set 5800 which he brought on 23/07/09, last week i did update firmware through FOTA to V30 and did hard reset. Guess what, the phone restart many times and screen got green, red & blue lines appeared in screen. I send to NCC (Berjaya Plaza) to check. They said something wrong in firmware, so i leave i there for them to check, asked me to come after 2 hrs. Later when i collected the set in evening, they have change LCD module & reflashed V30 firmware. It was quite ok & steady firmware last couple of days, I did encounter same problem last friday whereby the phone restarted itself and went dead. I tried to switch on again & again, but still there same problem. So i did sent to NCC, they said that they need to check again why this thing happen and let me know on the status. They also said they will change the LCD module again and check. If the same problem arise, they will change the mother board. If that the case, do i entitle to change to new set since just over few week from date of purchase?

I have tried that method also but same problem. I just received call from NCC, mentioned that they have to replace the motherboard, it will take two week to fix this as they don t have stock. If they change the motherboard, what happen to imei no ? Is it new or existing one, if new , i believe it does not match with the box. SO how ah?
