Yup.. I agree with you... warranty will me the major issue..
From what I know... MSI Malaysia have setup their Service Center for Laptop...

Based on the brochure that I got from PC Fair...

or might be otherwise rclxub.gif

Ericmaxman... just want to know.. do MSI Malaysia offer any extended warranty package?

Wow your laptop is quite tough... My previous laptop (Acer) kong every year...

Bought in 2005... and every year will return to service centre for repair..

As for the extended warranty period, AFAIK, MSI Malaysia does not offer that. I could be wrong.

From programming to gaming and even torrent.. Quite rough use...
Most probably or other factor that contribute the failure of my laptop...

Better make backup fast... If your harddisk getting hot around 50c it's the sign of HD near failure...
(Based on my exprience.. others might differ)

My personal advice change before it fails...  unsure.gif

Yup.. same situation as me...

Outside from Malaysia - MSI laptop quite a strong brand.. especially in US and Europe.. (not to forget Singapore)

Haizz... Look at the positive side... at least we are unique...  brows.gif

MSI are now promoting their netbooks... hope they can establish themselves here in Malaysia...

Indeed. And in certain countries, you can actually configure almost every part of the laptop..

the MSI Wind is quite successful beside the ASUS eeePC

Running 7 on my VR320x.

Not bad, but 7 can't load the default drivers for the X300.

And also for the Ralink WiFi.

But the rest is fine.

My VR320X is coping well with Windows 7. No noticeable slowdowns at all. Anyone using Wind+Win7?

got this laptop from US..serves me pretty well..thought the laptop is quite heaty to touch bt tat is because of it's aluminum body

Pasang 2GB Corsair DDR2-800 Gaming RAM on my VR320X.

If the Corsair alone, it won't boot.

If with another stick of DDR2-667 RAM, can boot, but only detect 2GB.

hmm.gif

And with both sticks, randomly getting BSODs..

I made a mistake about the CX420s' sound cos I was listening to a very soft video clip. The sound volume is definitely acceptable.

Yes, can upgrade to 4GB RAM (price is approx RM150).

Free gifts includes MSI bag, cooling pad, mouse + mouse pad, cleaning kit, kensington locking cable.

Pay by credit card in one lump sum is additional 2%. Credit card installment package is additional 5% (I think).

The price of the MSI CX420 has now dropped to RM2099 at amega.com.my. Go to Octavo at Digital Mall and use this info to bargain for a lower price than this.

Good luck.  rclxms.gif
