QUOTE(giaogiao @ Oct 1 2009, 09:55 PM)
Hi, 1st time to be at this thread.

I remember when I was the heaviest, I'm 110kg.  blink.gif
Then, I joined gym (for fun, at that time).

Later, got the semangat to lose some weights. I took 3in1 coffee + 4 or 5 scoops of Quaker's Oat every morning. And i skipped lunch, use up my lunch time to go to the gym. (People eat, I gym.) For dinner, I took in a bit more rice, to avoid myself from get hungry at late night for supper. Then, at the same time lots of my not-so-pro (but still more experienced than me lah) friend taught me. Here a bit there a bit.

Till recent few months, when i visit gym, i will first jog for full 20mins (with 1 or 2 rest in between).
Then, i do: Dumbbell Bench Press + Dumbell Shoulder Press + Barbell Curl + Preacher Curl + Pumping + Others (What crap also do).
Sequence sometimes not same lah. If got strength, will do all. Sometimes too tired, cant finish all.
Each exercise do 3 sets, 1 set 8-12 times.

The best weight I achieved was about 93kg. I took me about a year. Now, cuz stop gym for 1 month already. I still do some simple training at home. Eg: Dumbell Shoulder Press + Pumping + Sit up etc. But still gained back a little weight, back to 95kg.  shocking.gif  Waddefark?

Want to ask, if I look my side from the mirror, i definitely look not-so-thick (as in big tummy) anymore. But from front, I can't see my waist getting smaller. May be not noticeable lah. I tried to add in Dumbbell Side Bend into my training. May be I'm impatient. But, i don't any noticeable improvement.  rclxub.gif

Any advice or any training to recommend?

First of all, don't skip meals. Lessen the amount of food per meal.

And to drop a few sizes on your waist, you need to lose the fat around it. To do that, you need more cardio.

Swimmers remind me of Michael Phelps, maybe he has a chest and visible abs, but his long torso and lack of lats, not so nice.

Anyway, some random pic after shower at 80kg. Constipated face tho lol.

I seriously miss the gym now. Been off for 2 months and counting due to my lower-back injury. =/ I can do pullups and push ups and stuff at home, but its just not the same without having a barbell and weights around. sweat.gif Sucks to be injured. doh.gif

Injured myself cause of poor form and a little too much weight for me to handle on deadlifts. That'll teach me.

When someone comments on wanting to nibble your nipples, you know its about time to cut. Lol. I'm still planning to bulk till around 85-90kg then only cut.

Hmm, in the 2 months that I've been off going to the gym due to renovations, injury problems and exams, I think I've managed to keep my back a little bit in shape. Looks like the pullups I've been doing at home for the the past month worked. hmm.gif

Relaxed and spread.

Solid back, but needs more trapezius. Shrug heavy!

Thanks. Yeah, definitely a truckload more of shrugging for me! xP

Will be going to an orthopedic surgeon tomorrow to get a definite diagnosis of my lower back. My local doctor mentioned the possibility of a prolapsed disc. sad.gif

Hope its nothing serious man.
I'm injury prone myself and i absolutely hate it.

Me too, actually. Used to do gymnastics when I was young, and I'd come home with minor injuries week in week out. xD I just haven't gotten anything as potentially serious as this before. =/

I'm obviously not an expert, but from what I can see, you're leaning forward a bit too much on your squats. Almost makes it look like a good morning exercise. tongue.gif

The taller you are the more you can bench generally. From his height and frame I'll say around 110-120kgs..

You seriously 80kg? You look much heavier than that at your height. I'm 80 and around 177cm and I don't think I'm as big as you.

I'mma take a wild guess and say maybe it has something to do with muscle structure and/or density? Don't know if that made sense, though. blush.gif
