QUOTE(Florian @ Oct 17 2009, 11:16 PM)
My abs are under that thick layer of fat. My diet is really high cal and high fat. What to do, no stove here, everyday eat out with economy rice. All my friends are skinny want to be big but don't want to be muscular, so they all want to go KFC, McD. So I have to follow them la. But at least for now I'm not going to competition/going out half naked so look big ok liao, but then haha I don't have abs. But no abs, no ah moi.

So leh, it's true they say what you eat today is what your body is tomorrow.

Even if you're on roids, you still need to eat a lot to build those muscles.
*
But I've a big feeling you will get the abs you want once you really want it.
Just a hunch lol.

Woah, winkybear, that's some seriously good progress...

It is kind of odd how almost all the hardcore gymrats I know are former skinny kids, versus former fat kids.

i was a former fat kid. managed to lose weight from 110+ kg down to 68kg in 8 months

then last year march started seriously lifting weights and shot up to 80kg now.

Wooahh big guys.
But florian, besides the nipples  tongue.gif , where's the abs?
I was thinking that everything should develop proportionately?

Who cares about abs when he looks that impressive? Its not like hes going out shirtless every single day.
Physique like him looks impressive when he even have a shirt on.

Eh? Personal satisfaction and the knowledge of having a well toned body instead of just certain parts.
And of course the other satisfaction of going swimming and beaches with the knowledge that you look good.

I personally can't stand flab around the midsection. I have given up on quite a bit of poundage progress because of this. If I can't feel and see my abs I feel lousy.

Thanks guys biggrin.gif. I don't feel sore anymore as compared to in the past. I'm lifting as heavy as I can. Is this normal, or should my workouts be more intense?

Somebody just asked that earlier and the reply was that it's normal. But would be good if you keep adding weights gradually and at a manageable rate.
