QUOTE(ngkhanmein @ Feb 11 2011, 11:34 AM) 6570 > 540 but some part 540 win lah.. but overall still 6570 pawn 540 SLIGHTLY! Added on February 11, 2011, 11:48 amthexs did u play dirt 2? u got openAL & rapture3D right? can del 1 ma? 540M is better than HD6570 if based on specs alone... Even in benchmarks 540M is better than HD6570 DDR3.. It was already proven between Acer 5750G and Lenovo Y560p, both have exact same specs except GPU but 3DMark06 for Acer 5750G is few hundred points higher.. but HD6570 DDR5 in HP-dv6 can pawn 540M though.... At least 10k points in 3D Mark 06..

QUOTE(ngkhanmein @ Feb 20 2011, 03:54 PM) yup but i thought 6570 come with GDRR5 only.. it got come with GDRR3? The only HD6570 with DDR5 currently is HP-Dv6... Others all DDR3.. Nah depends whether manufacturers wanna release which variant according to Market trend..

QUOTE(raymond1989 @ Feb 21 2011, 04:45 PM) Wanna ask here, is it gt260m better than ATI 6570 ddr5? u mean GTS 260M right? It's quite an old GPU dy and laptops which come with it won't have SB processors, DDR5 HD6570 in HP-dv6 is definitely better... This post has been edited by eugenechiuu: Feb 21 2011, 07:21 PM

QUOTE(putochip123 @ Feb 23 2011, 01:51 PM) lol, 6570 is mid range/ rename of 5730, even worst than 5730. the performance of GC is not depends on the memory, as i had stated, DDR-5 doesnt means out perform than DDR-3. i give u a comparison, my old 9800M GT 512MB DDR-3 can pawn the GC u like to mention 6570 1GB DDR-5 easily Hmm.. Yes so I've been told... But then benchmarks show that HD6570 DDR5 on dv6 has shown at least 10-11k in 3DMark06 though... Compared to 550M which is only slightly below 10k with similar i7-2630QM... So I am confused if you say DDR-5 doesn't outperform DDR-3, since HD6570 DDR3 only gets around 8.5k+ points...

QUOTE(ZeratoS @ Mar 6 2011, 03:06 AM) So I'm thinking of either the N53SN or the XPS 15 MLK. Haven't been able to find any benchmarks on the GeForce 550m. How great is the performance increase from the 540m to the 550m? Would appreciate any insight on this. Probably around 4-5 FPS depending on games..

QUOTE(ZeratoS @ Mar 6 2011, 04:47 AM) Ah thanks! According to this : http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForc...0M.42264.0.htmlSays it should be equivalent to the 445m whereas the 540m would show a 10% improvement over the 435m. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.htmlLooks like a huge improvement from this, so I'm just puzzled. Nah, should trust too much on that since they dun have actual benchmarks yet.. They did state this 'The GeForce GT 550M is not yet released and therefore the following information is still based on rumors and leaks'

QUOTE(afag @ Mar 8 2011, 03:41 PM) in this case, what did u see to determine the GPU's performance? especially for gaming.. pixel shaders, clock speeds...

QUOTE(admnovsk @ Apr 20 2011, 08:48 AM) hey guys i have a question. if i connect a laptop with native resolution of 1366x768 to a hdtv(1080p) to watch hd movie, would the tv display the movie in 1080p or 1366x768? 1080P... If it doesn't show 1080p automatically, you can set it on screen resolution...
