QUOTE(-kytz- @ Mar 20 2010, 08:17 PM) Thanks bro! It sure is a very nice- looking laptop with superb speakers I dunno whether I will regret for not choosing the Studio XPS 16 or not haha XD Well, since the F60 is one of the 1st laptops to come with i5 and GT330M, cant really compare to the newer generation of laptops which all come with similar or even better specs (at a lower price haha) Always wanted an M15x which I cannot afford keke! M11x seemed not suitable for my needs even though its as tempting as the XPS 16 Cheers man you will be able to get a new one sooner or later~~ That time i |

Dear sifus,
I just ran 3DMark06 (version 1.2.0) and the final score seemed way lower (by arout 400 points) than that of Beowolf's. The specs are exactly the same Will the marks differ due to different versions of 3DMark06 used? Or the score differences are due to background programs? Thanks in advance for your input |

QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Dec 19 2010, 04:23 AM) Thanks for the reply bro A quick check shows that only the "Texture Filtrate" value is different from that of Beowulf (apart from driver versions).... others all the same Err... how do I know how much background services/programs I'm supposed to disable before running 3DMark? Thanks in advance! |

QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Dec 19 2010, 01:39 PM) Just try run after restart, and close any startup program.... Err... maybe I'm not reading the info correctly haha If you have different texture fillrate, then you should have different clocks speed... The comparison is below, I still don't see any different clock speed |

QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Dec 19 2010, 02:06 PM) O____O wah.... Maybe that's the reason why all Satellite M500 units always experience the "driver has stopped working and recovered" issue I don't think there's any way I can troubleshoot this right? Anyway, thanks for your input bro, appreciate it! |

QUOTE(cowithgun @ Apr 21 2011, 10:45 AM) guys, i finally found a review which directly compare between AMD 6630M vs AMD 5650M vs nVidia 550M: Yeap, the new Inspiron 14R has hidden potential http://notebook.it168.com/a2011/0407/1175/...75538_all.shtml Google translate version i m still upset that Acer choses to use 540M in the new TimelineX while AMD 6630 should be a better choice... no? 6630 is just running at 485MHz... the OC potential should be high... Radeon HD 6770M 480@725MHz Radeon HD 6750M 480@600MHz Radeon HD 6730M 480@725MHz Radeon HD 6650M 480@600MHz Radeon HD 6630M 480@485MHz ps: aiya, just realize, sifu lee also posted the URL.. anyway, comment anyway! |

QUOTE(alvin ong @ May 10 2011, 03:36 PM) ATI HD 5650 is better. Refer here for more details: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphi...List.844.0.htmlAs mentioned, the ATI HD5650 in the Toshiba is downclocked, but still better than the GT520M Oh ya, there's no GPU switching in the Toshiba as well |
