i mean the cores right like ATI always higher than NVIDIA.. so can we depend on cores to base the judgement which card perform well..
to me the GDDR3 192 bit is somewhere middle whereas the GDDR5 128 bit is like entry level for the new GDDR5 tech.. so more or less the same gua.. but i personally think GDDR5 works better!

devina_8 got boost fps on crysis especially for dual card user!

GT555M Type B is still superior on paper due to the extra ROPS, more SP and larger memory bandwidth. However, real world performance is unknown since Type A has never been seen.

A is 128 bit GDDR5

B is 192 bit GDDR3

so A > B cos GDDR5 (newer technology & clock r faster)
*
hmmm sigh... but B has bigger bandwith?

i would vote for B, which has more raw power, instead of just bigger memory bandwidth. so, for me:

B > A (much more Cores!)

A is just a beef up nVidia 540m!

IMHO, the performance between the 2 is pretty similar. From the spec, 'B' version should perform better since it has more CudaCore, TMUs, ROPs and bigger memory width of 192bit but the 'A' version with higher clocks and DDR5 should compensate with the loss.

Just speculating tho..  tongue.gif  still yet to see the real performance of that 'A' version.

hmmm... sigh... thanks for the clarification... notworthy.gif B looks like hav wider bandwith... hmm.gif

On the Dell Malaysia site is the 6990M configuration costs around RM600 less compared to the GTX580M configuration.

With both increased stream processors and clock speeds from 6970M it may very well be just the one to take down GTX580M's crown in the mobile GPU segment. Can't wait for reviews to come out.. biggrin.gif
