QUOTE(jotaro12 @ Jun 15 2010, 07:19 PM) Finally we got some updates on this "Fermi" beast GC GTX 480M: Notebookcheck Reviewthanks for the update dude! looks like its not really good though. 5870M CrossFire still perform better and having lower power consumption. nVidia really have to shift their financial budget more to R&D than publicity.

QUOTE Compared to desktop GPUs, the Geforce GTX 480M is comparable to a underclocked Nvidia GeForce GTX 465 SLI combination (607/1200 clock speed). single GTX480M equivalent to GTX465 SLi? i smell troll typo there. sos @ http://www.notebookcheck.net/Computer-Game...ds.13849.0.html

QUOTE(satoshi.mifune @ Nov 8 2010, 03:54 AM) For me personally I like to compare based on fps in games on different resolution closer to the real thing i think everyone prefer that too since its the more precise. but we could use 3DMark score as rough expectation right? its called benchmark for a reason

QUOTE(erszebeth @ Nov 10 2010, 02:25 PM) i want to ask, if we update the driver, is it will surely increase its performance...? u know, the hardware is there, so should the performance... but how just by updating the software/driver, the performance can be improve whereas the hardware is still the same old hardware...? you can go to Nvidia Official website and see the page to download the latest driver. they will stated the marked increment in performance for most of the games and especially for highlighted, latest games. its not increase in physical performance, its more on optimization to apply on game's engine.

HD550v is rebranding of ATi 4 Series.
usual trick to finish the old product. so can't expect much for that GPU.

i am currently using 260.99 version of Nvidia driver.
but when i access Nvidia Control Panel > Update Your System Driver > Check, once again its shows 260.99 is available to download.
its mean that the updater did not check the preexisting version and directly shows the latest driver?
