No news currently, but chances are VERY slim, normally Acer won't include 'high-end' models for the Malaysian market.

Even the benQ s57 beat Aspire 5740 miles apart, is it because of the graphic card? If they are using 5650 would acer able to reach 7k mark too?

Put S57 away...even S42 beat a crap out of 5740G

HD5470 should in what class?? Well, uses the same GDDR3 but the score just way lower than 9600M GT ...should it at least be in the same level??...and also, why the memory size is 0?? GPU-Z cannot detect??

i guess the driver is still not yet optmized enough...
if ATi have someone like DoX to mod the driver, i think there's no problem for 5470 to beat 9600M GT..
btw S42 default is how much edi? too long no run 3D mark liao..was it around 4.4k last time?

a bit more than 5k i think...
havent got the chance to run it on mine....

i guess i'll prolly wait for DoX's to finish his fix on the hybrid graphic driver issue, then i'll update to 195.74 and benchmark on 3D mark again

if sacrifice the hybrid only use 9600 driver, will there a performance boost?

well 5470 should only perform alittle better than 4570.. dont expect much from 5470 lol.. with a 5650 then it'll be able to beat 9600m gt and hd4650 and even 4670

Use a standard driver on a hybrid machine? I not sure if that works cuz I tried at on my hybrid laptop, it won't work at all, I have to revert to the outdated hybrid driver provided by manufacturer.

have u tried installing Nvidia drivers + the Intel Driver from Asus?

Well that is what I using now, the Hybrid (Intel + Nvidia) driver from Asus... Version 186.88

You should be thankful as BenQ S42 only got 32-bit Hybrid Graphic driver 187.45 ...dun really know about the other hybrid gc powered laptop but BenQ got 2 BIOS which is:

V1.20 = for hybrid graphic, enable both gc (default BIOS)
V3.06 = for single gc (9600M GT to be exact), Intel in shut-down mode

Well, i now use the V3.06 BIOS which only enable the 9600M GT and now can install generic driver for it, one thing that i lose is STAMINA as we all know dedicated gc are battery eater ...

Well, there's always modders around for hybrid gc (though not many and to name a few is Dox & Nautis) ..
