Guys, i planning to get either 30" dell monitor which can support up to 2560 X 1600 or 32" FHD TV..i will be using this monitor for surfing and movies only...

if u guys, which will you choose???

another question is lets say i watch 1080 movies in the dell 30"....will it resize the movie to 1080 pixels only???
then will the screen shrink or becomes small...or still the same size....

it depends....according to 1 forumer, he told me that certain games can play with full reso..For example, HAWX,CODWAW,CODMF,Rainbow Six Vegas II,Grid,Fallout III and etc.
then some super high details game like crysis and far cry2 cannot...but i can still play them on mine 24" monitor...

Depends on your GPU and the resolution of the game itself.Getting higher fps depends on the GPU,resolution and the detail settings

How much you paying for it then?
From Dell site, its way too overpriced even though its a S-IPS panel.
You can bought something a lot better for the price.

One thing I dont like about Dell is their warranty. Once expired, you are done for. No one outside can source Dell parts cos Dell wont sell them. Im too stucked with my expired Dell 2007WFP which loses power every now and then. I think its the CCFL dying. I rip open it and found nothing wrong, no blown cap but this thing just turn off whenver it likes.

I'm using an ASUS at home (Oh yea, it also comes with a built-in webcam). There's another, think it's HP that also has HDMI... but nowadays, I'm sure you can find a lot of LCD monitors that are 24" with HDMI goin for less than RM1k! brows.gif

ur fren sell u his 30" for wat price then.... if cheap a lot (lets said at least 50% less than 32" out there) then get it! If still got warranty then dun even need to hesitate... in the end is all about spending $ on the stuff worth or not.
