Hi Guys, my old PC just get fried thanks to lighting strike, my bad.

I guess i am going to get a PhenonII X3 processor and I understand that for unlocking the 4th core, the best bet is to get 720 BE series and aim for 0904EPQW batch...

How about motherboard?
Anyone can recommend me a (price-wise) reasonable mobo?

Please do correct me if i miss anything and if i am wrong.

Thanks in advance smile.gif

today i scout at lowyat, mostly are 0925 AXXX batch...not sure good or not.
By the way , for RM700 budget , you can get 0922 + MSI 770 C45 at RM625

but the MSI 770 C45 is a barebone mobo ...

Hi bro antonio, I guess we shall continue our discussion and at the same time notify TS to update the result at the main page as some of us need to gather intel (where to buy, which combination, possibility , etc etc ) to make purchase and post the result here happy.gif

Too bad due to my budget constrain and i dont plan to upgrade ofter, so i guess i have to stick with MSI 770 C45...or anyone got suggestion? happy.gif

hm...sorry for 'missing' for fews days ... got many things to follow up.

finally i manage to get mine Phenon II X2 550 from Cycom @ RM360 (Roblyn no more stock sad.gif )

by the way , my setting as below

Phenon II X2 550 (unlock 4 cores)
4gb DDR3 Ram
MSI 770 C45 motherboard

and my cpu-z result as below when set to auto

edit
now after i manually set the multiplier + HT Link
my result as below

by the way, i am concern with the core temp. When i am running prime95 for few seconds (10 seconds) , it shoot up to 60'C in TMPIN0.... takut later cpu burned >_<
what is the safe temp?
If i am not mistaken, i read from AMD website, the cpu only can stand the heat until 65'C

ya, mine is stock cooler
as for the temp... i just read from amd site that max temp for PhenomII X2 550BE is only 70'C (sorry for earlier typo)

so i dont know what will happen when the temp exceed 70'C... >_<
