the northbridge temp is quite high.
40mm fan should bring the temp to a more manageable value.

QUOTE(rexio @ Mar 31 2010, 02:45 PM) Hi guys, I'm new here. Please guide me. Currently I'm using MSI 770-C45 mobo with Athlon X2 240 OCed to 3.5GHz with CoolerMaster 212+ CPU cooler. Now I'm planning to upgrade my proc because then Athlon cannot tahan running 100% load 24/7, as I want to run more program. Is there any recommendation on what proc should I get between 550 BE and 555 BE, I'm planning to unlock and overclock it if possible. 550 or 555 is better? Any good proc batch(as I didn't see any 555 BE batch at the first page) and maybe a good shop at lowyat? Thanks. QUOTE(rexio @ Mar 31 2010, 05:45 PM) It still can tahan, no restart or BSOD although being used 24/7, but when I want to start new application, it'll be very laggy. my successful batchIs there any noticable difference between Athlon X2 and Phenom X2 if I use it for multitasking? CACAC AC 1003 EPMW btw how much ram do u have in ur rig?? |

QUOTE(rexio @ Mar 31 2010, 06:57 PM) Lets say now I'm running 10 of XYZApplication, I can still play WarCraft while 10 XYZApplication still running, but when I run 11 of XYZApplication and play WarCraft, the gameplay will be laggy. I want to run more XYZApplication and play game at the same time. that one normal la brader.2 cores cant handle that much stuff going on.even E8400 struggle with that much apps running on the background. |

I ronda whole Lowyat and at last found 1 1003GPMW from Viewnet, last 555BE in the glass cupboard. Hope I'll able to unlock and OC it.. <--so greedy.. Haha |

@sasaug
run prime95 blend test for a bout an hour.usually that's more than enough to consider it stable.but i say 1 hour enough but other may say at least 3 or 4 or even 8 hours to consider it stable. @acap how is the temp at 3.9ghz when it fail?? |

@acap how is the temp at 3.9ghz when it fail??
Around 60 celcius.
i think thats the cause of the failure.too hot and it'll bsod.
bro my mobo is SB710 rite?then why amd overdrive show SB700? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
it show SB700 series so 710 belong to that series and so does 750.
is there any tools which can read my cpu temp which is unlocked from x3 to x4?
no. once unlock u cant monitor the temp anymore but u can still monitor the temp of the IHS. |

QUOTE(ah_khoo @ Apr 5 2010, 11:21 AM) that's one hell of a batch... 4.3GHz capable w/ right kinda hardware combination + hardcore tweakin... 2.6ghz fail after 15minutes of prime95 for stock voltage.not really bro, imc differ from chips to chips. 2.6GHz is doable on c2 but not all w/ stock volt, some even top up @ 2..5GHz ish regardless what kinda volt pumped. same w/ 2.8GHz on c3, not all is capable doin that w/ stock volt. out of 2 chips i've tested, both max out @ 2.7xGHz w/ moderate volt (<1.4v), 3GHz is a no go regardless what kinda volt i gave. i think i'll stick to 2.4ghz for now. |
