Need some advise here.
I want to upgrade my rig. Planning to get Gigabyte GA-MA785G-UD3H mobo because want to try my luck to unlock quad core. Should i get Phenom II x2 550 or Phenom II x2 555? Which proc has higher successful rate? This post has been edited by acap_20: Mar 24 2010, 02:52 AM |

Just bought Phenom II X2 555BE yesterday and manage to unlock to X4 and overclock it to 3.8Ghz stable!
Processor batch 1003EPMW. |

Mine only need 1.3V to prime stable at 3.5GHz lower than stock volt which is 1.35V but need 1.475V to prime stable at 3.8GHz. But no matter what i try this chip just can't prime stable when it reach 3.9GHz and above.

My final attempt to reach 4GHz stable enough to make 3DMark06 bench but fail Prime95 test within 5 mins..
