I got the same batch proc as urs and mine manage to unlock on Gigabyte GA-M720-ES3 using nvidia 720, can install windows but fail prime but if X3 pass. Can o/c till 3.8 on X2 and no prob. Recently juz changed new mobo and passed prime. New mobo is using 790FX chipset and it seems very stable I guess diff mobo have diff ways to unlock ? Btw currently still testing X4 with 1.4-1.45Vcore @ 3.7 if 3.8 will restart pc after 10-20 minutes.

Means you need more Vcore to stabilize at 3.8Ghz
*
If I let the mobo auto set vcore, it will go till 1.55, kinda scary blink.gif . So far I only run around 1.4 - 1.5 max. Fine tuning the FSB and multiplier. Currently using Asus M4A79T Deluxe. I tot my processor is the prob but once changed mobo straight 4 core passed prime. Now still testing out with the fsb and multi. Btw running memory @ 1600 with 9992538 better ? Or 1333 7772125 ? Using normal kingston elpida rams but it seems quite good so far as can run high and low but tight timings dun have time to try yet coz still fine tuning. tongue.gif

Can you set anything between the range of 1.4v to 1.5v for Vcore?
*
The current mobo I am using can set in 0.1 increment i think. testing @ 1.4 now with 3600 mhz very stable no restart or any problem. Only thing is my xfire gpu sumtimes goes into single mode. Mebe is coz I o'c the 4850 @ core 700 and memory 1100. If lower to core 680 and memory 1080 no prob. Actually the whole system i use to play sc2 and sum online games only. Got the X2 555 coz I see it's good batch so hand itchy. Got the mobo also coz previous mobo is 790X and cannot unlock properly. rclxub.gif Memory wise I tried the kingston hyperX lovo series seems like no diff with the normal kingston using elpida chips. provided I manually set the timings. hmm.gif

look at the chart, DDR3 1333 7-7-7-20 vs DDR3 1600 9-9-9-24,
give the results of 57.9fps and 57.2fps respectively.
actually can conclude that there are no different on performace between them in the crysis game.
just if you have extra budget, you can get DDR3 1600 ram.  biggrin.gif

Actually my budget DDR3 ram can run almost all timings if I set it manually. According to few sites it's the same as in the Kingston Hyper Lovo, and also g.skill or sum branded performance rams. Unless the rams can go 7-7-7-21 @ 1600 then it will be superb. Mine I don't have time to play yet, got sc2 also no time to play much one night only can complete 1 or 2 missions. sweat.gif
