same setting (ram, cpu, voltages) for blend & small fft test?

d unlocked core having "bad communication" w imc hence d failure in blend test. small fft itself can't justify "total stability". blend test is d more complete test for MD imo.

u need lotsa time to try it out, 1 hour is nothing seriously. from what i remember, +/- 2%, 4% & 12% worked best for d chips i used to unlocked.

1. @ 2.: majority of latest batch of don't really offer "free core(s)", some 560 do come with 1 free cores from what i see. as mentioned, if u want a full fledged quaddy, go for a real quaddy instead of countin ya luck w/ d phenom x2.

3. yes, 790gx 128m does unlock cores, depends on d chip itself & certain version of BIOS iirc.

from what i remember latter batch of 09xx is for 550, earlier batch of 10xx is for 555. as for 560, very few can be unlocked to quad, most are either no free cores or 1 max. if u wanna play safe, buy those second hand which confirmed come with free cores.

if after unlocked it's not stable it only means 1 thing - d locked core is a bad one. there are some can be unlocked & stable while some not. it's all about luck. back then bios of 700 series mobo have this acc thingy which u can try, but now i guess it's not available on newer boards. more read on acc here:
