For biostar not all bios support unlocking, u have to research 1st which bios people had used successfully in unlocking using the same mobo as urs..

Just updated to the newest bios, 0831, also same problem. Hang at logo screen.

There a guy here successfully unlock using 0617 bios, but I couldn't find that version of bios in Biostar website.

Noooo don't use the afudos...
Biostar bios update nowadays have to use the windows program they gave u in d CD..
If u use AFUDOS, Ezyflash then ur mobo will surely dead..

IINM for modded bios need to use certain bios flasher.. not in general..
that's why need to really understand those..

i am now using MSI 770 C45

i heard that i have to flash the bios to 1.3 version above right ?

the box comes with the disc, MSI live update 3, so if i run the update, it will be updated to the proper version to unlock izit ?

can it be done without using flopy ?

failure in core unlockin most probably caused by it's user/chip problem. most if not all biostar 790gx boards can do unlockin + run d unlocked core(s) stably since d earlier day when some premium brands failed to do so. only recently we can see asus/dfi release stable bios for core unlockin...

No luck, failed unlock.
0930FPMW, tried 0831 and modded 0617 bios, black screen after enable ACC.

sad case man...
but u can try OC it.. maybe can achieve higher speed with Stock Vcore

Sifu - sifu here, anyone success unlock cores for this batch of processors? How bout their OC capability?
