Which mobo is recommended to do the unlocking? Any board with ACC?
Will there be a difference in performance between AM3 and AM2+ socket mobo? I mean AM3 processor.

try boards from gigabyte / biostar and certain msi.
no difference in performance,if u got budget for ddr3 rams,then go ahead with AM3 socket,otherwise stick to AM2+.
just managed to unlocked my 550BE batch 0928CPMW using GA-MA790GP-UD4H,bios F3.
run p95 for 5min only.no errors even tho temp is high.

I see, I think I'll stick to DDR2, didn't have enough budget for new rams .

i m sticking to ddr2 as well..no budget for ddr3 yet..
as a matter of fact,u wont notice the difference in performance as according to mr. google..

Sigh.. Tried unlocking my BE550 but no luck.. I'm using MSI 770-C45.. Flashed to 1.42 ROM as per http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=228417

What i've done so far is to update my bios, EC firmware = special, ACC = auto.. Am I missing anything? Do I need to tinker with the voltage etc?

u can strat by tellin which batch ya 550BE is... aint no voltage adjustment needed, as long as u load d correct bios + set acc, d cores will be unlocked IF d chip comes w/ healthy locked cores.

mine unlocked but i can see core0 activity is higher than the rest...
hmm..not an issue tho..prime for an hour n no prob..

Yea, thing is, I don't remember which batch is it.. And i don't wanna remove the heatsink.. Too tedious and i don't have that liquid thingy.. Hahaha..

Is there any other way to check it? I don't have the box either.. Lol

just when to robyncom today, just can find 0925apmw. after thinking a while i decided not to buy. see next weekif got luck finding 0928 batch..
