Heroes of Newerth (HoN) is an upcoming online strategy games developed by the US-based S2 Games. Fans might remember their older titles - Savage and Savage 2, which combined FPS and RTS into action-packed games. However, HoN is a totally different beast altogether, as it is heavily based on a very popular Warcraft 3 mod called Defense of The Ancients.

We knew we already got your attention whenever DoTA name is mentioned. HoN is currently under closed beta testing, we are giving away a number of test keys, courtesy of S2 Games, for all Lowyat.NET friends out there to test it out yourselves.

GENERAL REGULATIONS
1. Please don't PM me or any forums' admin and staff. Use the official methods.
2. Only one key per person. Please be fair to others, aight?
3. No key reserving. If you friend/relatives/siblings wants it, come and get it through official methods.
4. If you have troubles with the keys, put a notice here and we'll act accordingly, usually by replacing it with another key but only when it is still available.
5. Please be patient, the key might not be sent to you instantly. The distribution is being done manually, no robots involved.
6. AGAIN, be patient and don't spam please, or we'll unleash the banhammer upon your soul. XD
7. Last but MOST IMPORTANT: By receiving the key, we assumed that you agree to the game's NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT (NDA). The actual NDA is pretty long, but from what we understand, you can't post screenshots/videos from the game. You may discussed it around, but please make sure what you wrote doesn't breach the game's NDA.

I've been playing Dota since 2004 , the old wc3 engine is getting bored for me . I wanna try out something new that similar to Dota and here comes the game called HoN !!

I would like to see what the game can do when it's built from the ground up as opposed to being a map modification of another game.

Well, I would want to try out this game, and see whether its a worthy predecessor to DotA. As its a standalone game, maybe there's a slight chance that this game can make it into WCG?
And, since the game is still in beta-testing, I'll do my part to report any bugs/glitches that I may encounter in the course of playing to the devs.

I have played dota for years and i own demigod. I still stick to dota, and then i heard about HON. The fact that it is so similar to dota but with the upgraded graphics and UI makes it sound very enticing to me. I would love to be able to work on the beta version of this game and see what it's about.

Well, I've played it, but because of the Non-Disclosure thing, I don't think I can discuss the game openly, but I can say it left a weird taste, after the first match, I felt confused, amazed, excited, bored, and confused again... But I should point out that the interface, especially the item descriptions, need abit of work...

And from the official videos from the HoN facebook i would really like to try out the Beta.

I've always wanted an alternative to DotA, as many dota players know that the game has so much potential to become such a successful game with a genre on its own, really. But since the Warcraft 3 engine is limiting this possibility, I really hope Heroes of Newerth would be able to overcome this limit.

Thus, I really want the beta keys so that I can know for myself, if HoN actually reached that possibility.

I was a fan of Savage and Savage 2, Both games were different back in the day. Both were fun and best of all brought a bunch people with big differences togther to beat a skirmish match. (some skirmishes even took 3 hours to finish >< good times)

Since this is the latest S2 game they have come up with, I wouldn't mind giving it a try and if its worth its hype I might even end up buying and promoting it around my group of friends. Plus its a multiplayer game...that hopefully wash away my disapointment with Demigod....

well....i play dota since the very begining, ever since the map had snow and there were only 3 taverns....i like this type of game very much (even became addicted to it) and since dota is so old...i would like to try smth new...with better graphics...and new things (items heroes) and i;ve heared that this HoN is a very nice dota-like game and i would like to try it.... anticipated thanx...
