I would like to see what the game can do when it's built from the ground up as opposed to being a map modification of another game.

Well, I would want to try out this game, and see whether its a worthy predecessor to DotA. As its a standalone game, maybe there's a slight chance that this game can make it into WCG?
And, since the game is still in beta-testing, I'll do my part to report any bugs/glitches that I may encounter in the course of playing to the devs.

cuz it's new, and some people said it isn't like DotA (but many said it is!). so i wanna try it for my self, and decide.

plus, beta keys can be considered rare, who doesn't love rare stuff? and being tied to NDA will make me feel like VIP

I have played dota for years and i own demigod. I still stick to dota, and then i heard about HON. The fact that it is so similar to dota but with the upgraded graphics and UI makes it sound very enticing to me. I would love to be able to work on the beta version of this game and see what it's about.

I hope i can get one to this out.
