Got this AC Ryan last week & 2 days ago installed a new 1TB HDD..Updated to the latest beta R2891, upgrade the system extension by installing the 3 bittorrent/Samba/uncgi/
problem faced right now... 1) I dunno how to check the actual IP address (Anyone can help?) Their forum & from google saying I can find it by going to setup.Network..nothing mention on where to find the IP address!! 2) I copy one my torrent file to the main directory of the HDD & after clicking on it..it appeared to be unsuppoted file..haiz.. Thus wth this 2 issue I really dunno how to use the NAS function of this thingy...too complicated to me..Only can use it as media player   |

Tnx but that's the same instruction in AB Ryan forum & also Google...The problem is I can't find the IP address once I enter setup>>Network.
When I press the Wired network, it will appear the same Ip address of my P1 Wimax IP... I tried that by typing in Internet explorer but fail..so I guest that's not the IP address... OK, I will downgrade to 2388 soon..Din know the beta having bugs QUOTE(soulquarianz @ Dec 30 2009, 12:25 PM) you can check the IP from the setup menu under network it even show you the wired or wireless signal strength. btw latest firmware 2891 is not stable pls revert back to 2388. i myself upgraded to 2389 and it freeze couple of movies whereas in 2388 i dont face such problem. so i downgrade back to 2388  |

Got the torrent running now but super slow compare to direct torrenting using Utorrent....funny...

But this AC Ryan also NAS right? The speed really slow but atleast it doesn't affect my surfing speed compare to direct torrenting via PC,,probably the built-in bittorrent no good compare wth utorrent kua?

Yeah actually hopw to do that hor..Me too using direct copy via a thumb drive on the latest beta firmware..lucky the Intt HDD was new.. so format -format lor...In future firmware update not sure how to do it via Network..dunwan kena format my eggs liao

Cheaper to buy 1-2 m long network cable for RM10-RM20.. Iwas thinking of wireless too but worry of compartible issue..I tried using my back room PC USB WIFI dongle..didn;t works!

Ok now I know nothing wrong wth my ext HDD..I was transferring 500Gb of my eggs to the Int HDD of AC Ryan that day..took me >5 hrs!! fuyohhh..super slow

Yeap..It's act as a NAS too (network attached storage)..enable you to torrent without switching on your computer 24/7. however it's super slow..

I don't really find any diff bcos I have been using the beta version b4 this release since they 1st release the Beta version...

I took the risk Y'day by not un-plugging...upgrading from the beta version to the latest...No problemo..I think the risk in when you are trying to down grade as mentioned by the other forumer.
Anyway, dun take my word..Backup 1st if can.. |

I dunno what's the meaning of HD audi but all the movies that I played from AVI, MP4, MKV till TS got sound wor....
So meaning all the HD movies got sopund wan who say no HD audio |
