QUOTE(vivre @ Aug 20 2009, 11:55 PM) Just received mine today.. I like it sooo much ~ congrats to u .. but want to ask why didn't u install the 1 TB in the player ? So far it could play any MKV file that I currently have, via network I was thinking of getting a harddisk, but seeing this, I might postpone it after raya laa.. Meanwhile ill make full use of my newly-bought 1 TB.. And did you buy it with the Wireless N or Wireless G dongle ? |

QUOTE(barry @ Aug 19 2009, 09:59 AM) moomoos, If it can't do scaling then the viewable area will look small right ? Can only see big black bar on top and bottom for 16.9? Sorry, no got Dvico to compare with. This my first HD media player, and so far I am very pleased with it. After a few hours of fiddling with the settings on my ACR and my plasma, the picture looks very pleasing indeed. The colours are beautifully rendered based on my aging eyes. 1080p mkv's play smoothly with an occasional lag during fwd skips. I am now not sure if I want to play BD ISO files considering that my plasma is only HD Ready and that these files are humongus in size. For those without AV amps to decode DTS, the HDMI output will produce down-mixed audio to your TV. One thing I find lacking in this player (donno about other players) is that it does not allowing you to do any scaling. It is either set to 4:3 or 16:9, unlike the soft player like my favourit BS Player. Anyone tried to do scaling ? |

Last Sunday, my brother in law bought a POHD at Viewnet for RM650 plus Samsung 1.5TB for RM334 . Seeing that the price is quite ok, we didnt nego too much..
So i guess the price shud be lower than RM650 if you know the salesperson well.. |

hi all ... want to consult all the users of ACR PlayonHD. ..
In the video setting - TV syatem, i am using 720p 60Hz..and then there's also a setting for 1080P 24Hz which i have set to "ON". If i m watching a 1080P movie, it still shows as 720P ? What is the difference ? |
