The last time i heard, most prefer not to put a HD in the ryan to avoid overheating.

If you are smart, you could have ask does the ryan got e-sata to be on the same leaque as the O!play?

i place me HDD inside the POHD...& i checked..the heat is transfered to top of the enclosure..the bottom, where the HDD is mounted, is relatively cool...not hot..

so i think as long as you didnt tapau the POHD in a tight spot, heat shudnt be an issue...

eSATA now..before you know if, USB3.0 will be released...

ar188,
POHD will automatically ask to format the internal HDD, otherwise it is unusable. So, it is no good if you are thinking of sticking a 'loaded' HDD into the player.

azbro,
For these 'naked' HDDs, is it safe to store them in the plastic bags provided with the HDDs, shelved them somewhere?

when i first installed the internal HDD to the POHD, it did asked me to format the HDD...but since mine is fully loaded, i simply ignore the message. but no problem playing the titles on it also. why did u say its unusable?

what's POHD's current plan for HD audio support? are they 'trying' to get the license?

SDK3.0 or SDK30.0, I doubt HD audio bitstreaming will see the light of day. whistling.gif

quite number of ppl actually gave up hope of ever seeing HD audio bitstream available on POHD...may i ask why?

does it mean, HDX BD1 is a better m-player since its able to bitstream HD audio?

how about Tvix 6600? will it have the possibility of HD audio bit stream?

i'm using POHD now, but feel like upgrading...thinking about Tvix, but then up came HDX BD1...looks like a promising player..but i still wanna wait till the first batch user reports their reviews...
