Got this AC Ryan last week & 2 days ago installed a new 1TB HDD..Updated to the latest beta R2891, upgrade the system extension by installing the 3 bittorrent/Samba/uncgi/

problem faced right now...

1) I dunno how to check the actual IP address (Anyone can help?) Their forum & from google saying I can find it by going to setup.Network..nothing mention on where to find the IP address!!

2) I copy one my torrent file to the main directory of the HDD & after clicking on it..it appeared to be unsuppoted file..haiz..

Thus wth this 2 issue I really dunno how to use the NAS function of this thingy...too complicated to me..Only can use it as media player

Wow, Playon!HD come out with mini by end of Jan 2010. Price will be lower then RM499.00. Will it become WD TV Live killer? Interesting. The war just began....

been using Ac.Ryan for the past month

just wondering, when ac.ryan plays dvd resoulution file(.avi/dvd iso), does it upscale the reso(like what hdmi player did)?

you can check the IP from the setup menu under network it even show you the wired or wireless signal strength. btw latest firmware 2891 is not stable pls revert back to 2388. i myself upgraded to 2389 and it freeze couple of movies whereas in 2388 i dont face such problem. so i downgrade back to 2388

Tnx but that's the same instruction in AB Ryan forum & also Google...The problem is I can't find the IP address once I enter setup>>Network.

When I press the Wired network, it will appear the same Ip address of my P1 Wimax IP... I tried that by typing in Internet explorer but fail..so I guest that's not the IP address...

OK, I will downgrade to 2388 soon..Din know the beta having bugs

Does anyone see a occasionally flicker when opening up the copy menu?

Got the torrent running now but super slow compare to direct torrenting using Utorrent....funny...

Pls don't expect the speed as POHD mainly is for HD player. If you need faster speed, pls use PC or NAS.

But this AC Ryan also NAS right? The speed really slow but atleast it doesn't affect my surfing speed compare to direct torrenting via PC,,probably the built-in bittorrent no good compare wth utorrent kua?

Does anyone experience flickering on the browser menu during start up?
