wah this AC ryan updates brings new problems with FW updates??

Just updated my player and I'm glad to report the audio problems and Chinese characters have been fixed.
Also added BD-ISO support but I don't have any files to test it with.

Didn't test the other new functions as they don't interest me (torrents, internet feeds, DVD-ROM etc.)

lol i'm still using the factory firmware.....

Just bought a player with the FW V7.06.r2388.. I am not sure what it is but at times the file got no sound..then I play play abit here and there and the sound comes on. Is it normal?

1. Check the rear connections...made sure fully inserted at the media player as well as the amp or TV
This is the main culprit for sound problems...yeah..check the connections again.
2. Try playing another file.
3. Is it the audio only no sound..or the Video and Audio both having problems?

new firmware not stable, thats why me still using old firmware.....

Using latest firmware, sometimes play file till half way no audio.

need to stop & wait the audio comes out from preview than run & resume....

During preview, try to wait for the sound first before playing the file. If not sometimes movie start without sound , sometimes got sound.

Can also try turning off preview if you don't use the feature. Just a suggestion, haven't tried it out myself.

Hi, I will need to send back the player to SG for replacement. Anyone have any idea will it be tax while the AC Ryan SG send me the player? How many % for the tax? Is there anyway to avoild the for tax?

what happened to your unit?

When you sent it back make sure you declare using a Malaysian Custom C2 form. DHL/Fedex will normally do it FOC for you. Then when they sent you back the unit just have to show the form as proof with the same serial no of the unit. If they changed a new unit then it's taxable. RMA on same unit is tax free.

The image loader for my player was under DVR TV so it can't update to the current or future firmware anymore. AC ryan site claim that is their fault and will arrange for replacement. The problem now is i am not in SG la.

Kindly let us know what happened to it, so that we can be prepared with our own units

Thanks for reply bro. Is that mean i will need to ask DHL/Fedex to arrange for sending back the unit to SG and after exchange then sending back to me again? I didn't pay any tax while i bring back the unit in June also. Will they ask for the receipt? If tax, how much is the maximum? 25%? 40%? I am still waiting for the AC Ryan SG reply.

Added on November 30, 2009, 10:36 pmThe image loader for my player was under DVR TV instead of playon HD while it 1st load on. It showed Playon HD in the menu so i never go and bother until this current firmware out and i cant update. Future firmware wouldnt be able to update as well. AC Ryan site said is the image loader problem. They had installed the wrong image loader for my batch of units. There are some other user facing the same problem as shown in the AC Ryan forum as well.

So the image loader was already like that when you first bought the unit? I read some users got the wrong image loader only after firware upgrade.

darn then how to check what image loader we have on our POHD? kindly enlighten us pls....

When you start your POHD you will see Playon!HD and not something else like DVR TV

My POHD is running the same firmware too. I don't have the audio problem as you described but many times than often the played divx avi file will suddenly turn into black & white I need to rewind a bit or even stop it and play again for the colour to come back on. Does anyone experience the same problem?
