It is so red in FCPO market. But plantation stocks are green green. Something I don't understand or hard to understand. Need to learn again.

Sime touch new high for the year, 7.95, may be want to make it 8.00.
At 8.00, it could mean 20x more on PE based on current EPS. |

After a quick run up about 100 points in short period of time, market is hugely overbought, momemtum is carrying the market while for KLCI, ASM carries/supports the market.

Something interesting is happening on Axreit. Tug of war.
Added on July 22, 2009, 4:25 pmLately, a lot of reit counters are quite active compared to normal day of a few hundred volume per day. Some asset allocation going on by fund managers? This post has been edited by cherroy: Jul 22 2009, 04:25 PM |

QUOTE(debbieyss @ Jul 22 2009, 04:34 PM) 末日- Armageddon窝轮 - warrant IOI-CI exercise price is 5.50 and will be expiring next week. So by next week, in order for it to stay 'alive', IOI mothershare need to go beyond 5.50 in a week time. If not it is like a 窝轮 suck your money dry. |

QUOTE(RedSiglap56 @ Jul 22 2009, 04:41 PM) I'm no expert, but I think the key is not knowing when to sell.. Yup, selling part could be more difficult than making a decision to buy.It is deciding how much you want to make and sticking to it i.e. selling when your own decided target is met. The trouble with the vast majority of us is : GREED! So when our target price is met, we still ask : should I sell now ah or wait some more ..?! So we can avoid this part of problem by buying some stocks that you don't need to sell one. While at the meantime time, still earn your or sending your cheque every year. Solve one problem. Then you only to make a right decision on buy side. |

IOI right issue spoil the party.
People buy plantation stocks aim for steady and dividend play. Now it is the other way round, company seek money from shareholders. Previously dividend received need to dig back out. |

QUOTE(teehk_tee @ Jul 24 2009, 03:03 PM) Merger of second board and main board make no different, the share price remain the same, the rule remain the same, company remain the same, everything is the same. The differences, is that we no longer have so called main board, become one board (may be in theme with OneMalaysia). Or some prefer to call it Rojak board. Joking only. |

QUOTE(mopster @ Jul 24 2009, 06:14 PM) FD, do you think there is still room for AUD/RM or EUR/RM to go up ? they are currently quite high already.. Even now Aud is higher at 2.8-3.0%. i feel sad for Ringgit Malaysia... really going down the drain... FD wise, i think AUD is a better choice coz at least their interest is higher.. have a nice weekend everyone... Aud is viewed as a kind of commodities currency. |

QUOTE(jasontoh @ Jul 25 2009, 12:00 AM) Cherroy, need your advice, which currency can buy? Maybe buy something like foreign FD, ok or not? I got SGD acct, which I can wire transfer my money anytime I don't speculate in currency, foreign currency FD purpose is for asset diversification which is the main purpose and hedge against potential RM devaluation. |

QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Jul 27 2009, 03:59 PM) oh really? i didnt go into details.... 55 sens private placement share... which means it shouldnt be worth more than 55 sens? Private placement will dilute existing shareholders stake/benefits if those money raised from private placement is not going to raise company profit or create more wealth to the company. i saw a couple of "private placemenet proposal" notification in bursa announcement, eg. my favourite Dgate, is offering 15.7 sen per share.... what does that mean actually? This is something we need to look at on private placement. It is as same as right issue, just instead looking money from existing shareholders, it issues it to third party. |

With the lastest measure, smaller tick, suspension for 1 hour instead of 1 day, KLSE is seems desperate so that investors to trade more in the market or more $$ to them.
Next what, changing red colour to yellow for the drop one, flat one stated as green, up one super green? So that we don't have red sea wave that spoil investors' mood. Just my lame suggestion. |

QUOTE(chyaw @ Jul 27 2009, 04:34 PM) Yes! It is one of the way to raise capital. For RCECAP wise, I'm not that worry as the company is registering increasing profit. I hope the raise fund is use to generate more income... IMO... A lot of company is taking current opportunities (bull market) to tap fund from the market to pare down their borrowing, as previously a lot of company are wary about refinancing difficulty and current market trend is actually a good opportunities, as nobody knows how market will be in near future. So to be safe, getting more money to reduce the borrowing. If the company rise fund to cover its debts, it will be quite a bad news... Even IOI also taking the same route. |

QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Jul 27 2009, 10:52 PM) Highly likely, not many stock stuck at 6-7 cents for so long time, without either way of movement.Actually KLSE needs to make some rule on split side, split too much until become a few cents stock or stock price become super low price which create artificial feeling the stock is cheap which if not split, it could be 1.00 or more stock. (in actual fact, the a few cents price can lure some or a lot anchovies to buy since people will say hey a few cent nia, how low it can go, no offence |

QUOTE(omores @ Jul 28 2009, 12:00 AM) YTLPowr, warrant or not, is not a swing counter, the mothershare is not volatile. Mostly likely or most people encounter the later one experience, no offence. Are you sure you want to invest in swing stocks? As one day you may be making RM1,500, the next two days you are losing RM4,000. |
