My bet for the next TV evolution could be built-in 3D processing chips in the TV itself, like the ones from nVidia. No more rubbish red/green 3D nonsense. (well, thats what I am hoping anyway

Back to the Philips, I believe for RM20K a pop, those who buy will use it for dedicated HT rooms for movie watching ONLY.
Current Samsung 3DTV already have ability to convert 2D to 3D by itself.
