i bought my a200 from sony centre sunway carnival mall penang...for 2.2k++...kitlen..4gb sony cf card..bag(worth 3++)..got free alpha tee,diary..wristband..alpha cap..is it worth it r? but i bought it thru 0% installment scheme with credit card...they also said i will get free workshop fro aony alpha...

i've asked other sony center about their pricing before and so far non gave me any discount.

Are u one of those guy who is selected by SONY to promote their product?
I know someone who is also having the privilege of getting price much cheaper than retail price.. about 30-40% cheaper than SRP... They are like partially sponsored by SONY..

i think u need to hold ur camera..with ur left hand below your lens..not on top of it

bro, he used f5.6 at 300mm for that shot... so basically i think he just focused at the bird, the background is far enough to be blurred out in that way... 

technically, i think  , the shallower the depth of field, the more bokeh (blurry defocused areas) you get...

and to achieve this shallow depth of field, is by using the lowest f number possible.... ok that's my noob explanation. 

luvvivi: your question has been answered by millenia. hehehe... not much I could tell you already. since I'm using the kitlens SAL75300 f4.5-5.6, at the longest distance, which is 300mm, the lens's widest aperture for that distance is f5.6 which in change, causes the background to look blurred. was wondering, since with 300mm at f5.6 already produces that kind of bokeh, Imagine what the SAL300f28G can do... dayummmmmm....

MemorableStudios: Try to find the kindergarten logo on a wall somewhere and use that. Well I remember mine being that lah.

The real challenge is getting the kid to look at you. Kids are restless! Your crowd shot will be a nightmare so fire off a few burst shots.

what kind of bg u r trying to blend in during PP ??i would suggest ur backdrop to be similar color to the background u gonna use later...even if there is some small mistake..it wont be noticed easily....and try to use backdrop that has very diff color from the kids uniform/hair...if everything same color..u'd have a hard time later on..

With raw you have the freedom to tweak after taking pics such as wb brightness sharpness etc.

if you want it to look sharper, just increase the in-camera sharpness
nowadays i prefer working with RAW so that i can retain the highest detail (not sharpness) possible
