..80% decided mean that i nearly want  to buy the a230..the prob is i cant find a200 anymore....coz im using citibank installment scheme..how r?need help guys...i dont have cash...just citibank card... cry.gif
*
you nearly? but you said you have a230 now? i`m really confused :S....
go to some camera shops, they have installment plans but maybe extra 5% charge

why not save up then only buy a used unit instead? i find paying extra 5% not worth it. and a230 is not recommended (provided you havent buy)

tanjq87: Yes, I find the slightly slanted angle shows exposure correctly.

By that you must bear in mind that most LCDs tend to blow out the gamma and make shadows a lot brighter than they should be. That's why, when you print it out, it becomes a lot darker (it's your LCD that's wrong.)

achew: There are a few ways;

The F20 can be used in bounce mode to trigger the F58 (should be enough, depending on your setup.)

The F20 and F58 in wireless commander mode, contribute a lot less light than the pop-up flash (tested at a recent TT). Previously, you'd have to use HSS to hide the effect of the pop-up flash.

SpOOkY: Depends if Nikon and Canon want to, but I doubt that they would. Unless Canon resurrects their 5D MkI for that price LOL. I'm guessing that Sony just got a massive order from Nikon for 24 megapixel sensors for their D700x... if the D700x is much cheaper than the D3x (and there's lots of room for any price) then the A900 might seem rather expensive. Instead of dropping price on the A900, why not a genuinely cheaper-to-make A850, while keeping the price of the A900?

some insider news from my friend in the semicon industry: there is 1 comp that hire them to do a super stress test on a almost noiseless chip for digital image processing

DC = APS-C and DG = Full frame for sigma
Most of the zooms lens starting from 16/17/18 are APS-C lens.

probably....

object too close...

or

focus point at the wrong place (like if focusing on a blank white paper or something that dont have much surface)
the tend to focus hunting are quite high...

use the middle focus point since its the most sensitive one

I always wanted a system that can tell me the subject distance smile.gif, how cool if i can see 23m in the VF stating that the subject locked is 23m smile.gif hehe

fuaa... like that the camera sure got laser pointer eh? haha ... (but  what if you focus to the moon)  laugh.gif
but I really don't know whats the significant of its though tongue.gif

maybe people just make assumption through the focal length indicated  rolleyes.gif
*
so that i can tell if the AF is accurate and i can tell if i am too closed to the object hahha.....not much used la but good to have...
esp when using 50mm with 45cm of MFD, i always have to keep moving until i reach the MFD haha

Interesting rant about bright LCD screens:

http://blog.shutterbug.com/davidbrooks/a_bridge_too_far/

SpOOkY: The Minolta Dynax 7 kinda has a distance meter when you press the DOF preview button, and tells you how much is in focus for your selected aperture.

user posted image

Yes, this is the first FILM SLR I know with the LCD on the back instead of the top.

My Dynax 7's ADI pins melted already (due to a bad custom lens) so I can't show this anymore. sad.gif
*
why got 2 readings one? from the screen, does it eman that ur object is at 0.14 and ur dof is 0.13 to 0.15m? cool wei..what is the screen on the right then? confused..

Interesting article. I was discussing about LCD/CRT with my fellow friends lately too. It is because my pics looks so weird and i have just given up and din bother editing them until 2 days ago when i realized that the pics really suck..
I am using a laptop(lcd) to edit/view my pics but when i print it or view on crt it is horribly/terribly and ugly looking. super dark and the contrast/saturation and color is also wrong ....sleep.gif my CRT is being used for my super old junkie which can only run firefox and not even Microsoft Office. I have decided to plug my laptopp to the CRT to edit my pics...and yes CRT is way better for me..well at least - it is consistent !

Guys,any good LCD to recommend?

MechaHerc:

There was the Minolta Dynax 7 film SLR, followed by the Konica Minolta Dynax 7 Digital 6 megapixel digital SLR.

SpOOkY: It's the LCDs that are too bright and can't be tuned down due to the strong backlight. The CRTs are easier to correct.

I just realized that the reading doesn't say what the actual focus distance is; however it does say that there is 0.13m in front and 0.15m behind the focus point.

The screen on the right is the screen you see when you look at the back of the Dynax 7.

i will stick with CRT for now then aha.....then displaying the 0.13 and 0.15m is cool enuf smile.gif
