thanks for the reminder on the kids being restless smile.gif, almost forgot about that factor.....

but what color backgrounds are the best to be used, to make it easier to cut off in Photoshop.. ?
*
what kind of bg u r trying to blend in during PP ??i would suggest ur backdrop to be similar color to the background u gonna use later...even if there is some small mistake..it wont be noticed easily....and try to use backdrop that has very diff color from the kids uniform/hair...if everything same color..u'd have a hard time later on..

ASAP..i like the first one more...the 2nd one...the face is slightly over exposed on my LCD which makes it a lil bit distracting...

haha..no choice..had to be fast...its like shoot kids..u dont have to much time to think n compose..everything has to be prepared...den focus..shoot...focus..shoot...if u have to think when u r framing..den probably too slow already...

probably when u r blocked/waiting others to finish ur shoot..u can have a rough compo in ur mind first..don try to 'find' the compo slowly thru ur OVF...

expensive? RM1450 is a good price. same price for canon, nikon, pentax mount--> click here

oo 1more q, how about Tamron SP AF 17-50MM F/2.8 XR Di II LD Aspherical [IF] A16 VS DT 16-105mm f/3.5-5.6..which one is better? in term of color, lowlite, speed n sharpness

sounds like apple vs orange to me...1 for constant aperture..1 for versatility on the range...

go for lens first
body easy to drop price, lens does not drop by much
*
i also think like that..since ryzan ur a700 is good enough now..should get new lens first...but somehow..i stil prefer 70200g on ff....apsc had to stand very far for portrait >.<

agree

70-200 range is nice for FF, but not quite on aps-c

on aps-c i think the best for portrait is 85mm f1.4  biggrin.gif
*
im soooo bloody tempted to buy a FF n 70200 together.....but like that if i help ppl shoot wedding/rom..i got no lens already..sigh...had to get 2470 first....any do u guys have any lens to intro? cry.gif

price : cheaper
performance : lower

smile.gif

your equipment as good as you are.. you can be using 1Ds or D3X but that doesnt makes you an exceptional photographer... smile.gif
*
my point is that i dont wan gradual upgrading..skill would improve eventually...but if i keep upgrading nonstop..the loses r there....and since price of the cz2470 or 70200G isnt a big problem for me..i dont mind get it first even tho i might not be as good as the lenses now blush.gif

i jsut wondering..is there anything..like the case of tamron sp90...price is alot more attractive than those sony/canon/nikon ones..yet performance is almost comparable(at least for me..there isnt any big diff)...

achew : Get the SAL20mm prime plus the 70-200mm and the A850. You will be set for weddings.

The 20mm prime will cover large groups nicely. You have a 50mm for small groups and the 70-200 will cover the rest. Done deal!

Heard that the SAL20mm has Minolta colours. It's f2.8 so low light should not be too much of a problem and distortion also minimum and you get a UWA too!

That's what I will be considering if I get the A850. One prime lens and I'm good to go.
*
i'll pick 70200 mainly for portrait...im afraid it'd kill my back if i use it for wedding dinner/rom..lol..

ok..point taken..20mm prime..i'd seriously consider this combi with my 50mm prime..looks like i stil have some times b4 the new camera launches biggrin.gif

i'd review my photos when im free..to have a better idea..which range im actually using it more often during those event...if most of them fall on 3x n 7xmm on my apsc..guess i've nothing else to worry. smile.gif

70200G = 1.4 KGs
2470Z = 1KG

i am a huge guy, and the 2470Z really can cause hurt after 6 days of continuous shooting... smile.gif
*
but i guess if u had 6days continuous shooting..the $ should be more than enough to give doctor some visits right..lol

i always complain to my boss...i had breath in too many chemical..and exposed to too many UV lights..and he always tell me..the medical bill is included in my pay..haha

Added on August 10, 2009, 1:57 pmi notice every time i ask for suggestion on lenses....i'd only poisoned to buy more..LOL
