Been searching around and seems like none of the thread discuss this. Center speaker is the 2nd most important channel after sub (or before sub) as well as the lead that drives it. Would like to know what is the favorite cable for center speaker that you guys are using.

I for myself been using Audioquest FLX 16/2 for 2 years and plan to change soon. A friend of mine recommended DH Labs Silver Sonic T-14 or Q10 but both of them are rather expensive for me. If recall correctly saw them at Hifi shop at 1U around RM1++ per meter.

So what you guys think?

Nice cables you guys have here especially the Kimber, makes me feeling small blush.gif Does it matter to have the same brand and length across the L/R/C channel?

Same here, thinking about QED XT400 or possibly the QED Genesis Silver Spiral. All three LCR should use same cable, just like all three speakers should be of the same brand and model series for proper timbre match.

But just noticed the thread title says favorite, I must say I haven't own that many cables to pick my favorite.

I don't think LCR speakers being of the same brand and model series are necessarily generally true. Is a matter of preferences and sometimes tiresome mix and match... smile.gif (This is strictly a personal opinion!)

yup, especially if you are bi-amping your front. Need diff cable to drive diff freq.
like mixing 8PR to drive the low and 4PR to drive the high, or if not high enough, get some bright character cable to drive them...

Nope, not possible in my situation. But I have matching front 3 left-center-right speakers/cables, as the most active speakers in a home theater (besides subwoofer), they are very important. The surrounds and back-surround are smaller 4" driver speakers so I can hang them on the wall, but at least all 6 speakers are from the same brand. That's the best I can get with my system. Being in living room, no choice but to sacrifice a few things.

Then, I think I am the 'adventurous' type sweat.gif since my LCR aint of the same brand, aint using the same speakers cable as well. The only thing similarity is that they're from US. To make matter more complicated, my surround is of Brit spkr; KEF. That would hold for some time until I get my Klipsch RS surround speakers.
