Say for example, what's the format like - best out of how many rounds, how many machines, any joysticks provided, can people use pads, any tables provided if we're able to bring sticks, will it be a knock-off format (or does the loser get another chance at a 'loser's bracket') and so forth.

Perhaps the most important question is, can we bring our own sticks?

This is a really great effort from the organizer's part to give exposure to the local fighting game scene.
