anyone knows how to clean dirt under keyboards and trackpad. I spilled champagne on my keyboard 3 weeks ago and some keys and the trackpad became really uncomfortable to type. It feels like something is stuck under the keys. I suspect it's the crystalized sugar. Has anything like that happened to anyone? i plan to try my luck at apple and pretend i don't know anything.

mmm surely there's a reason for them to do so? it's lk limiting the potential of their own machines. :T and it's quite a bad thing to do when win 7 is jz around the corner

well for me i didnt feel the keyboard protector was so important as the keypads itself are black in color (for the aluminim MBP), so i dont think they will be stained easily, plus i clean my MBP everyday.. the keyboard protector will make the keypads feel different when using, so i didn't really like it..

at first i was like you. wanted to buy heaps of protection. but i ended up not getting anything. well accept for a laptop sleeve and i good bag for it. and im quite happy that the macbook seems alright. the only complaint i have is the oil stains on my keyboard. cos i didnt clean it everyday after use in the beginning so now there is certain areas of the keys thats 'shiny'. think that is caused by the oil. think new users shud clean it everyday with iklear rather than buyer a keyboard protector as this well effect the heat ventilation right?
and a trackpad protector is recommended too. 

Mac os or XP mode?

I still figuring how to make my machine wake up in XP mode without Restart the XP after few hours of Idle.

I had set Hibernate. But not sure issit the right way to do it. I am guessing is the Overheat in XP make the machine auto-shut down for protection.

I want my XP to be fast awake from sleep/standby mode like in Mac OS X.

is there a need to register our mbp in order to be covered under warranty ?

i thought if it ends on 31st july 2010, it started on 1st august 2009?

yeah i wanna ask this too, i think i asked bfore but wasn't such a convincing answer..

so if we put our notebook to sleep while battery is max and leave the adapter on, would it have any effects to the macbook or battery?

Yes enough. Even if you use photoshop still okay. But when you start to multitask with memory heavy programs, having more RAM makes a lot of difference.

Like I usually run a Windows XP virtual machine in Parallels, with iTunes, Adium, Safari, iCal, Excel or Aperture, things really start to crawl when I had 2GB. Upgrading to 4GB made a lot of difference for me.

faster processor, longer battery life, there's another "pro" word under the screen, additional SD card reader and FW800 and the audio in out port combine into 2 in 1. kensington lock moved to sit with dvd slot.
