QUOTE(cRazYee @ Aug 23 2009, 02:39 AM) why need trackpad protector? dont you think this kind of stuff is too much over? it will definitely bring downs the sensitivity to be honest, i dont see any point on this product it did not, feels the same with or without it. @john89 / cRazYee refer here > http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1079096This post has been edited by preducer: Aug 23 2009, 02:57 AM

QUOTE(cRazYee @ Aug 23 2009, 03:05 PM) it feel not, but technically it does apple spent time to tweak the surface of the trackpad to get the best gesture (watch the unibody macbook vid) technically, adding another layer thing on a surface definitely make different on the sensitivity. adding this so call protector layer doesn't you dont ever have to clean the surface again. the important things are it doesnt render the trackpad useless and the trackpad feels the same so anyone who is interested to put protector can go ahead without worries.

QUOTE(fumjusta @ Aug 25 2009, 02:12 AM) May I ask where do you get this info? According to http://www.apple.com/macosx/specs.htmlthis is what I found: This means that 9400M does support OpenCL. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm going to buy a MBP soon, and this info will help me to decide which MBP to buy. believe whatever u read at apple website coz sometime ppl here can make mistakes.

QUOTE(blizzzy @ Sep 6 2009, 10:56 PM) hi all, I'm gonna buy a MBP 13 soonish. But in a dilemma. Spec upgrades are so expensive so I'm here to ask for advice what to I actually need to upgrade. This laptop is just for surfing/light gaming/chat/facebook games/music mixing. I'm currently looking at RAM or Hard-disk upgrade. I'm planning to run SL with Windows7 using Parallels. Please advice. ask urself, what do u need ? a bigger hdd or more ram ?

blizzzy,
it depends on what u gonna do.. usually ppl will go with ram then later with hdd. in my case i've upgraded both (4gb ram and 500gb hdd).
on average i only use about 1.5gb of ram and my hdd is already 60% full.

QUOTE(blizzzy @ Sep 7 2009, 12:18 AM) Any idea how much is the cheapest cost to upgrade to 4GB/500GB by myself? Also will warranty void if i open the case? 4gb ram is around rm220 and 500gb hdd u can get at rm200.. estimation only, dont really know the current price. the upgrade can be done by urself, warranty will not void so dont worry.. and also it's quite easy to do the upgrades.

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Sep 12 2009, 10:57 PM) @jind86, Act I think it's possible. There is a setting somewhere that you can configure whereby when U press the red [x] it will not minimise the app but to close it [except right now i'm in a meeting so i can't go through all the settings] Alternatively, Y don't u just use Command-Q OS X is document based, not application based. You can close the last open document and still have the app open, which for things like Photoshop, Word, Excel, etc. is a good thing. applications that only have one window e.g. iPhoto, System Preferences Toast, most of the Utilities will quit when the close window button is pressed.

QUOTE(kalvinhui @ Sep 13 2009, 12:47 AM) closing a window will lose all the info or data without saving it but minimize will only hide the current window in ur dock, n u dont have to save it. but it doesnt apply to all right ? only on certain app..

QUOTE(sembilan @ Sep 20 2009, 01:51 AM) hi all, i recently reformatted my unibody macbook to snow leopard. and a few days later, i noticed that my touchpad isnt that sensitive and is not really responding at times, even when i click on it (i usually tap). and also, i did not meddle with the sensitivity during leopard, and now, so i dont know if it's software related, or is it more serious hardware problem. Anyone experiencing this as well? any help/comment is much appreciated, thanks in advance. read this > http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?t...33176&tstart=75
